Called at 1000am and spoke directly with the owner Mike. I explained the problem to him and he completely understood the situation. He did warn me that the system that I have has proprietary parts and he may have to order them. Nevertheless, he sent Lou out and Lou arrived at precisely the designated time of 1230pm. After taking the mechanism apart, Lou quickly identified the problem and had a replacement part available. It took about 30 minutes to complete the repair and Lou made certain that we were happy with the service by asking us to operate the locking system ourselves. A further example of their thoroughness was when Lou asked if we any additional lock problems. My wife said that our front door was "sticky" and Lou oiled the dead bolt and made minor adjustments to correct that problem to my wife's satisfaction.

The circuit board for a car ignition key failed. The car's dealer wanted well over$100 for a replacement key. Fortunately, Mike's Shop was able to produce a replacement key for under $64 (including sales tax).

Initially, I went to a national mega-store for a duplicate storm door key but they did not have the appropriate blank. Fortunately, the mega store's key specialist suggested Mike's Lock Shop. As a result, I was able to get the needed duplicate and another item.
