We had to call our friends at Marvin Lott after our floors had been ruined by another provider's disastrous refinishing job (see my other reviews on this provider). Lott had originally installed our floors 14 years ago, but they are in such demand, we went with another provider last year to refinish the floors because he was available. What a mistake!! There is a reason why Lott is busy and the other provider is not: Lott does, hands down, the best job in the business on hardwood floors. Lott took 5 days to fix and restore our floors where the other guy took a day and a half to ruin them and get out of town.
Tim Lott's team carefully and with minimal dust stripped down our floors from the bad stain and varnish the other guy had applied and that was peeling. They had to hand sand and buff to get out all the circular scratches and gouges that the other guys had put into our wood. This took days. Lott had 2 professionals on the job where as the other guy had about 6. Lott is invoicing us where the other guy demanded cash in hand - always the sign of a scheister.
Tim's guys were so professional and competent - the finished product is amazing. Perfection in quality, look and finish. Even our trim is better than it was BEFORE - the last guys ruined our trim and staircase spindles and we had to bring in a whole other team to paint over their mess, costing us $1,000 more to bring in a painting crew to fix the sloppy work. Not with Lott - the trim was removed, replaced and caulked when the floors were finished, leaving the whole space looking better than ever. The entire experience was professional and top notch - what a pleasant experience after the nightmare with the last guys.
Thanks to the guys at Marvin Lott, Tim Lott and his team for, once again, doing the job right. I will NEVER go anywhere else again!
