Installation and hook-up went smoothly, nothing to complain about. But my yard, where tank was installed, was left covered in large rocks (that had been dug up while installing tank), minimal grading, large tire tracks across the front lawn, and a large drop off to adjoining wooded area. When we called to ask for the area to be graded as promised, we were told that it was graded and the rock removal and further grading were our responsibility. We had two landscapers come in to tell us what would be needed before we could seed the area and we were told that a truck load of dirt and rocks had to be removed, the area had to be graded and top soil needed to be brought in before seed and straw could be laid down. Cost $1,100 more!!! We called GasTec with this information and we again were told it was our responsibility. It wasn't until we told them that we were calling our lawyer, 3 weeks of back and forth phone calls, that GasTec offered to split the cost with us.

I need propane delivered and wanted to use this company but was informed that they were "not taking new customers in that area for that type of use". I'd never heard of a company that didn't need new customers, so emailed them back and mentioned their listing on Angie's List" said they did this service in my area. I only need propane for cooking but they wanted me to wait until Spring! If you are already customer, I assume you're treated like royalty but if not, forget it. Guess I'll be going elsewhere whether I want to or not.

I called him for a quote, got it and a referral to an installer over the phone. Made the appointment for the following week. They came earlier than expected! I wasn't home, so they went ahead with their job, and completed it neatly and professionally. Love this company after terrible experiences with the bigger firms' salesmen, who were obviously commission based.
