Eric Yonker Building and Remodeling

I hired Eric to get a rental unit ready to show. I told him the time parameters, he prepared a contract and  said that he could complete all work within the time frame. The work was not done on the day that I had scheduled to show the apartment. Three days later Eric called me to tell me that the work was complete and wanted me to meet him somewhere and to pay him in cash. I said that I would meet him at the property after I had inspected the work. I arrived to find that not only was the work not complete and Eric's trash and debris not cleaned up but that he had damaged the brand new medicine cabinet while installing it.When he arrived and I told him that I wouldn't pay him for work that wasn't finished, he became threatening and I had to call the police.  Via email I told Eric that I would pay him the balance owed minus the work that wasn't finished but rather than accept what was more than fair given the circumstances, Eric filed a complaint in small claims court for the full amount plus   charged me for time he spent going to Home Depot to ask them how to install a light fixture!My experience with Eric Yonker Building and Remodeling  cost me time and money and was truly a nightmare from beginning to end.
