I have been training with Grandmaster Chang since 1989. There is a huge difference between a traditional karate school and one of the franchise (“McDojo”) schools. The discipline in our school is what sets us apart from all of the other schools. I had looked at other schools before coming to Chang Karate School, but knew that this was the right school as soon as I met Grandmaster Chang. He knows exactly how to draw-out the best from each student based on their individual physical and emotional abilities. He is wonderful with the children. Additionally, we learn skills that carry over into day-to-day life. All 3- of my kids and 1- of my granddaughters have trained at the school. I highly recommend Chang Karate School.

Years later, my son now practices with me at Chang Karate School. It’s amazing to see the self-control that a young boy can get through Master Chang’s training, and this will be something that will help him for the rest of his life.

I'm part of the adult class at Chang's Karate. Master Chang, as well as the rest of the teachers and students there whom I have worked with, have helped me on my path to practicing martial arts. In addition to them helping me learn practical self defense & striking, often while fatigued, they've also more importantly helped me improve my humility, respect, and discipline. I've found that everything I've learned from them trickles into my every day life, activities, relationships, and business. When I've been able to see the teens/children practice in their class, I've noticed that they all have a mutual respect and caring for one another. I feel very fortunate to have found this school, and look forward to continuing to improve myself as a person.
