This remodeling job went very well, and we are thrilled with the results.
To remodel our bathroom, Bob Latini gave an estimate different from other contractors. Rather than cover the total job, with a range of several thousand plus or minus, his estimate was one low number which covered demolition, disposal, labor to tile the floor and shower, supply and install the toilet and all plumbing fixtures, fan, and shower door. We bought the vanity, tile and grout, and minor hardware. The bathroom turned out great, and cost $5000 to $9000 less than three other estimates.
Bob's crew was punctual, clean, and fast. They were very experienced, and did a very nice job. Bob responded quickly to all questions and phone calls.
I would definitely use them again.
Even swept the kitchen floor and dusted the kitchen table off before leaving.
If that doesn't say it all, I don't know what other endorsement I could provide.
Day 1 (Monday) they basically gutted the kitchen, roughed in the electrical boxes and put up new drywall. I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly things were getting done and they did a nice job. Day 2 (Tues.) they put together and installed the bulk of the cabinets. Day 3 (Wed) - more cabinet work, the stove hood, and they installed my hardwood floor. Day 4 (Thurs) was counter tops, cabinet doors, plumbing and appliances. Day 5 (Fri) was lighting fixtures and touch up work and they were basically done!
Due to a delay with my backsplash tile order they had to come back. They came back the following week - In a 1/2 day they installed the tile, then a couple of hours the next day they applied the grout.
Bob listened to any/all concerns I had and was willing to address each one.
When the cabinets were put in place it became obvious that initial calculations for the pendant lights were slightly off. Even though the ceiling was already up he was willing to move the electrical boxes and re-skim coat things
After they left on Friday I noticed a few minor punch list items I wanted addressed. I called Saturday and they were back first thing Monday morning and took care of everything in about 1/2 hour.
I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
I would definitely recommend this company for anyone planning to renovate their home.
nicely.
the next step was for his sub-contractor mason, and quot;Pauland quot; to come to take up the old walk way and pad and put in a new one.
AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PERSON. He first comes to survey the job. Which he doesn't call ahead of time
and just walks around the property. Doesn't let you know he's there.
His personality and attitude were very unprofessional - everything was a problem for him and all he did was complain.
His only truck broke down the first day, next day his wheel barrel broke, asked us if we had one.
When he started to jack hammer the old walkway, he didn't cover our glass storm doors and chunks of concreate
were hitting the glass door. He didn't clean up, worked like 3 hrs every morning and the would leave. This is why
this part of the job took so long.
i had wanted tiles with address placed into the concrete, he looked at how many there were and complained it was
alot..I wasn't asking him to do a mosaic....I showed him approx where to place them, he put them in and they are
all off center....he didn't clean them off with a wet rag afterwards, so any cement harden over the tiles. I had to go
out with a small scrapper and work on them. They looked better AFTER I DID THE WORK.
When the concrete was ready for the portico to go up. Bob's crew came back and did a wonderful job. They also
installed all new shutters on the front of the house. Great job.
i told Bob about this sub-contractor, mason, Paul and the awful work and how dissapointed we were in him.
Bob took alot of the broken concrete away that Paul left behind and he told Paul to go back and collect the rest.
Bottom line - Bob Latini great to work with - if you need a mason, ask first if it's Paul he still uses..then look for
your own mason elsewhere. Don't let this and quot;Pauland quot; come near your house.
