Ackerman Security Systems

So i have had Ackerman for about 2.5 yrs and in sept 2019 they came to switch my alarm from phone based to internet based. 4 visits later, months of headache, it is now April 22, 2020 and my alarm still’t working. They keep taking my money each month and I've been asking them to cancel since January, I get the run around every time i Reach out to them. Every week i contact a rep who says they cant cancelme personally but they will have that deptartment call me tomorrow and they will make sure I am taken care of and here I sit still unable to get the cancellation due to breach of contract on Ackermans side. You know since I don't actually have a working alarm. So I guess during the covid outbreak I have to go to my bank and change my accounts so they can stop charging me. This has been a nightmare. I have never had such horrible service with a company who obviously doesnt care that their product is useless but they live taking my monthly charge.

I was with another alarm company and their rates were so much higher and going up every year, so that?s why I switched. They charged me $29 a month. I was paying like $46 before. I like the price. I also like the fact that they are wireless.?Basically, I already had everything set up. The only thing they had to do was just basically switch over. The wiring and everything was already here. I like the fact they are wireless.

We were very impressed with the level of expertise in the security analysis of our home.  Our consultant pointed out some "weak points" in the security of our home that were obvious once we saw them...but had never occurred to us.  The service was quick and the technician that did the install spent about an hour AFTER the install explaining everything and answering our questions.  We ended up saving about $25 per month on our monitoring (which we previously had with ADT).

Salesman cancelled the first appointment then was pretty late for the rescheduled appointment.  ServiceTech showed up over an hour early but he did call first to say he was outside and could wait if we needed him to.  
When I initially called about switching to their service, I thought their call center was pretty rude and informative.  
Ultimately we decided to switch from ADT because we could get the same basic alarm service for half the cost (and both have mediocre to crummy service, so we might as well pay less for it).
