Awesome! Kept me informed from the estimate to the final gate closing! Install crew was very neat and professional! Some issues came up during install, as can be expected, but were very easy to work with!

They gave us the lowest bin and the work and materials were of the highest quality. We live in a middle of a row-home and now have privacy on both sides. They even made a gate to fit. Workers were very professional and cleaned up afterwards.

The fence itself was as expected and is very nice. The company, not good! Surprised after we were referred to them by a family member and saw mostly very good reviews online. The price was the best around after we got about 9 quotes, but as they say, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Took 9 weeks after scheduling with them until they came out to do the job. Workers barely worked 6 hours a day and would take constant breaks which we saw after stopping home multiple times throughout the day between the two of us that live there (no reason to be on breaks at 11:00 am and then 12:20 pm for example!). Originally said it was mostly going to be a one day job but they put in a two day bid just in case. I was told while they were there it would now take a third day and was given the run around that they said that originally which they did not. Approached the workers on site and called the office regarding this time wasting after day 2 and only 3 panels were up by lunch time. I could see now why it took 9 weeks to get on their schedule! They said they had water issues digging the post holes due to rain, but we said in advance that our yard collected a lot of water and not to come at a time it had just rained a lot. I said if they saw an issue they should have said something right away and shouldn't have started a job they couldn't finish in a timely manner, as they tore our yard up and were completely sloppy. Who wants their yard torn apart for longer than they were told it would be, or at all?! We have two dogs, hence having a new fence installed, and didn't want this "2 day" job to drag any longer than it needed to, as we couldn't even let them out there! They magically got the rest of the fence up, minus the last panel, caps, and gate in the 3 hours since I complained. Funny how they accomplished so much in 3 hours but earlier that day and a half prior to that, practically did nothing. We watched them for a bit since we were home before they left this time and what do we see but one of the workers deliberately going around the newly installed fence onto our neighbors property to sneak behind his shed to urinate! Talk about disgusting and unprofessional! Luckily we have a good relationship with that neighbor and he did not get mad at us for it! They finally came back the third day and competed the job. When we got home on our lunch break to meet with Garret for the final inspection, the yard was a mess, the fence itself was smeared with mud splatter, which of course gets on it while being installed but they didn't even clean it! They killed a lot of our grass, made ruts in the ground and messed up new stone around our pool which was even pushed back so they could avoid it but messed up anyways with chunks of dirt and big rocks they dug up and didn't take away. That all could've been avoided since we have a concrete patio they could have set their tools and materials on but didn't and killed the grass instead. Outside of our property on the other side of the fence is a back alley, it looks like a mud pit! Garrett was not helpful and argumentative with us and so was the owner, Steve, over the phone afterwards. Basically only agreed their worker urinating on our neighbors property was wrong but that was it. Said that if they received more bad reports like this they would be willing to do more for us. Wow, so I guess only their happy customers matter! After ALL that and going and buying more supplies and taking the time to clean up all of their mess, we got a whopping $100 off of the bill. If they thought that made a difference, they are wrong. Don't let their lowest price hook you in! AGAIN, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Response from TRI-BORO FENCING CONTRACTORS INC

"I feel it necessary to comment on the recent review you gave my company. In response to your statement regarding the 9 weeks it took us to get to your job; it was clearly stated on your Proposal that it would be a "minimum of 6 to 8 weeks for installation upon receipt of your signed Proposal and deposit, however weather conditions, manufacturers delays or job site delays may extend that time frame." Taking into consideration the amount of rain we have had, I feel 9 weeks was very reasonable. In response to the crew taking numerous breaks; they are allowed a morning break, a lunch break and an afternoon break. You also stated that the job was a 1 day installation, however, in checking the work sheet on the original estimate it was always proposed as a minimum of 2 days. I say minimum because you never know what you are going to encounter when excavating posts holes for a new fence installation. You then state that after day 2 only 3 panels of your new fence had been erected by lunchtime but neglect to say that the crew had removed your existing fence and prepared the jobsite for the new fence to be installed. You state that "magically after you complained the rest of the fence went up minus one panel, gate & caps in 3 hours, but earlier that day and the prior day practically nothing had been accomplished." Once again, we would like to emphasize, that day and a half when nothing was accomplished was when your existing fence was removed, fence line prep was done, and all fence holes were dug. Please keep in mind, the majority of the holes were dug by hand instead of using the machine due to the wet conditions in your yard, which in turn added time to the installation. It is true there were water issues on your property coming from a sump pump. So, on one hand you were upset about the 9 week time frame, but on the other hand you felt we should have waited for a dry week to install your fence. We did call previously to schedule the installation, and on the first day out we walked the job site with Shaun and it was never stated that we should wait for dryer conditions. As far as one of the crew members relieving himself on your neighbor's property; as I stated in our phone conversation, there will be disciplinary action taken for that unacceptable behavior. On final inspection of the project with Garrett (the estimator) none of his pictures substantiate your claims of ruts in the ground or messed up new stone around the pool. There was however a shoe print on your landscape stone and mud splatter on the bottom of some of the posts. The pictures we have also indicate freshly excavated soil between the fence line and the alley, but not a "mud pit" as stated by you. As far as Garrett being not helpful and argumentative as well as myself, I couldn't disagree more. You said if I received more bad reports like this, I would be willing to do more for you. I disagree. Even though I did not see evidence of it, I asked how you were damaged. You stated your husband had to buy supplies and spend time cleaning up our mess and then said you wanted a credit on the bill, to which I asked if I could see the receipts to what was spent. I would therefore consider as a gesture of goodwill. When speaking to your husband I also asked him what was spent and he is the one that asked for $100 off the bill. I thought that was excessive for a bag of grass seed and straw, but I did oblige. I do not pride myself on being the cheapest. I do take pride in installing a quality product, in a timely manner, for a competitive price. You state that only happy customers matter to me. Nothing could be further from the truth! ALL CUSTOMERS MATTER!"

I couldn't be more pleased with the fencing! Everyone at Tri-Boro with whom I talked or worked was phenomenal! Andrew was so very knowledgeable and helpful in the planning, and once the installation began, Jim's attention to detail and precision was astounding. The fact that the entire crew was so accommodating in completing my requests was very impressive! They could not have done more!! I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a new fence!

I can’t express how happy we are with Tri-Boro Fence. They were fast and efficient. We had some scuff marks when it was all done (From the packaging) we called, and they were back out to touch up the same day! Customer Service A+ from the beginning! They came to me through a recommendation, and I would highly recommend them to all! We will use only them for any fence projects we have.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone at Tri-Boro Fence for hearing my concerns about my recent fence project completion, and for resolving the situation so quickly. I am extremely pleased with the amount of customer service I received from EVERYONE at Tri-Boro Fence during this project. So, instead of only mentioning the wrinkles and concerns, I feel it is even more important to comment on a job well done. The finished product of my new fence looks elegant, stylish and really sleek. I love my new fence! THANK YOU!

From the very first phone inquiry through the last day of installation, the entire staff of Tri-Boro Fencing were professional, courteous and helpful in every aspect of the project. The quality of the materials and the installation exceeded my expectations. Although we had some disruption due to weather, the site crew were back on the job immediately after the storms had cleared. This is the type of project where you can expect to have some damage to lawns from the boring equipment, however, the workers kept this to a minimum. I would definitely recommend Tri-Boro Fencing Contractors based on the quality of their workmanship and the way they treated me as their customer.

Bottom line, they were awesome. Andy was great and addressed all of our concerns. Everyone on the crew who worked in our yard was so friendly and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Cleaned up everyday after their work. Even provided temporary fencing to keep our dogs in our yard while the new fence was being completed.  WIll recommend to anyone needing a new fence.

The service went very well.  The only complain I had was, they did not cement the one that was holding the post in the wood.  I told them I did not like that, so they came back and fixed it up and apologized for it.  So, everything was fine, I was happy with the job and they were professional.   The price was also good.

We bought a home in October of this year and wanted to have a fence installed for our dog.  We called a few different fencing places but went with Tri-Boro because of their product, price, time line and friendliness.

We called and set up an appointment, which was kept and on time.  We had a price and time frame along with the insurance certificate we asked for within a 24 hour period.

The installation of the fence was started on time but due to a snow storm with ice, it had to be delayed for 2 days.  The weather for the next week was in the teens, with the chill factor in the minus degrees and I was not expecting anyone to show but they did!

The two men who were installing the fence showed up and informed me that a second team would be out so they could finish the job.  My hat is off to all of these men who worked in this weather to finish the job and did a great job.

We are very happy with Tri-Boro Fencing and our dog is having a great time in her new yard with a fence that keeps her safe.

Thank You!

They started in the fall and finished up in the spring, because of weather. I had 2 sections done. I had two kinds of fencing, I had chain link fencing and then a composite fence, it is not real wood, but last a long time. I purchased the composite materials. Then he provided all of the materials for the chain link fence.

What can I say, but WOW- I am extremely impressed with my experience with Tri-Boro Fencing. After being very disappointed with three other companies I found Tri-Boro and they made the entire process a breeze. Spoke with them Wednesday, they came out on Saturday and I had my quote the following Wednesday. They answered every email or phone call the same day, they offered great ideas on how to make the most of my budget and were overall very professional. They finished the project in just a few days and my yard looks fantastic. Job well done, I would recommend them to anyone!

I explained my install would not be until about Jan...or pending weather, as late as March...but I wanted planning numbers (it was mid-late October). Steve committed to emailing me an estimate.  When a few days went by without one, I sent him an email so he'd be sure to have the correct email address.  When another week went by and it appeared my timline would move into the present, I called and spoke to a receptionist.  She seemed surprised to hear he had come out and done a site visit and said she'd be sure to give him the message so he could get an estimate to me right away.  I still don't have an estimate so I can only assume he was not interested in my business for whatever reason.  I had heard he does beautiful work...but I guess I'll never know.  I've since contracted with a different vendor from Angie's List who has numerous excellent (and well deserved!) ratings.  Beautiful work but lousy customer service doesn't make a great vendor.  Note to Tri-boro...if you don't want a customer's business, just tell them you are not interested at this time!  That's customer service that can at least be respected.
Response from TRI-BORO FENCING CONTRACTORS INC

"Yes I did a site visit and did get a e-mail that she did not receive our estimate, at that time we sent her another copy of the estimate . When we do not hear from a potential client we can only assume that the project is on hold till a later date or that the estimate is not accepted. I do not pressure a customer to accept a bid with numerous phone calls , but I am starting a policy of having e-mail follow ups and mailing hard copies to avoid this from happening again, in closing I apologize for the mix up and wish you the best of luck with your project. Steven J. Yost Sr."
