As a small independent retailer since 1972, we keep our overhead low enabling us to pass on savings to you. As a member of the Abbey buying group of 800 member stores, we have buying power and selection. Our lifetime residential installation warranty is second to none. Our staff is knowledgeable and experienced. We realize when people come to us it is to find a flooring solution from someone that they can trust. We will only sell products for specific areas where they will perform, and we won’t sell you a product that won’t be right for your application. We do not offer free installation since our installer’s wives won’t let them work for free. Our pricing is straight forward, without gimmicks, and is usually less than the competition’s sale or discounted price. I have cats and anyone else out there with cats knows they throw up. They also know the getting the cat food dye out of your carpet is rough. This happened one week into having new carpet in the hallway. I tried just a wet sponge - no luck. I tried the Woolite foaming cleaner I had used before that usually works - but no luck. I called Bob B. and he said he would send me out some cleaner specific for Shaw Carpet. I received the package and was delighted to find not only the carpet cleaner but some extra planks of the vinyl flooring we had put in and a cleaning kit for the vinyl flooring. Bob B. also called today to say he was in my area and wanted to come and see the stain I was having a problem with - unfortunately I had a bad migraine and missed the call. But just the fact that he offered to do that blew my mind given the other problems we've had during this renovation.
There was recently an article in consumer reports about what people complain most about customer support/service. I can tell you that the group at Riverview really does care and really goes out of their way to help you AS A PERSON, not a source of money.

I only met the installer the first morning to go over any questions he had and give him a key and then they came and went while I was at work. At the end of each day they had whatever mess they may have created all cleaned up and the place was spotless when they finished at the end of the week. The floors look amazing.
They removed the carpeting and moved the large furniture as needed. The day before they were done they left a note asking where the large furniture pieces were supposed to go so that they could put things back where I wanted them.
I was very pleased with the work and the professionalism displayed. I would definitely use them again.
