home inspection
 + -1 moreHe seemed nice enough. Wrote up a long and generic report that is very non-specific. He could never be held accountable for anything. Might as well have written the report from home w/o even looking at our house. Drain pipes were off their stacks-not noted by the inspector. All of the insulation in the attic was put in back wards(insulation side out, not in)this was noted by others who walked through our house, but not by the inspector. Electrical systems were old knob and tube, but the inspector did not note that, and even said otherwise.
Description of Work: Our realtor recommended this home inspector to us when we were purchasing our home. At the time of the inspection, he did let my husband accompany him through the house to ask questions and learn as he went. Since the inspection EVERY worker that we have had for almost any reason, i.e. plumber, electricians, carpenters have commented "so you didn't have a home inspection?" Because they are shocked at the "basic" things that were overlooked or that we didn't know about. Some of the things we discovered ourselves. One item was so egregious to have been missed, that the realtor even agreed and payed us for the repair of it, even though it had not been listed in the inspection. This was the first house we ever bought and we just didn't know basic questions. It amazes me that this man/company are in business. We were terribly disappointed!
