LITSKO HEATING & AIR COND

On 7/25/12 John Litsko from Litsko Electric, Heating & Air came to my home to change out 2 GFI outlets. One outlet in the kitchen need some diagnostic work as it was not working with the GFI outlet on,and the other outlet was outside. The outlets were in current working order, we just needed them changed out to a GFI outlet, per an inspection report. The GFI outlets were supplied and purchased by us and the outlet cover for the outside outlet was supplied by John Litsko. The cover costs $5 at Home Depot.  I was not told what I would be charged at the start of the work and feel I was overcharged and taken advantage of for this large fee of $160 for less than an hours worth of work. I called John later the same night explaining my disappointment and my concerns of being over billed. He stated he's a professional and he thought this work was an emergency and my house was going to catch fire. My husband spoke to him earlier that day and explained the nature of the work and that we wanted to have it done before Friday 7/27/12 for a code reinspection on 7/27 so I do not know why he thought this work was an emergency. The invoice of $160 was paid in full after the job was completed. The name on the check was not filled in and he said he would fill it in. Well he filled it out as CASH which proves he it not a professional so he doesn't have to claim these earning. I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the way this was handled. I have had electrical work done by registered, professional electricians in the past and was always charged fairly.

He was very responsive and easy to work with.  I'll be contacting him again in the future.

He comes when I ask him to, he does a good job, and he seems very conscientious.  He is running the business by himself and I see him leaving his house at odd hours for rush jobs because he lives a few doors down from me.  He is certainly attentive to his customers? needs.  I would definitely recommend him because he does a good job and cleans up.  He fulfills my expectations.  Last January the igniter for my furnace stopped working but he came down at fixed it at 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning.  I appreciate that he showed me what was wrong.
