 + -1 moreJERRY WAS VERY NICE TO DEAL WITH IN SO FAR AS MAKING A SELECTION OF A LOG HOME PLAN, AND PLACING THE ORDER FOR THE PLANS. JERRY GAVE US AN ESTIMATED TURN KEY PRICE ON THE HOME THAT WE THOUGHT THAT WE COULD AFFORD. HE GAVE US THE NAMES OF 3 CONTRACTORS TO CONTACT ABOUT BUILDING THE HOUSE. TO OUR DISMAY, AFTER MONTHS OF PESTERING THE CONTRACTORS TO ACTUALLY GIVE US PRICING TO BUILD THE HOME, THE PRICE WAS 50% HIGHER THAN WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY ESTIMATED. WE FOUND AN ALTERNATIVE LOG HOME COMPANY TO BUILD A COMPARABLE HOME FOR A BUDGET THAT WE HAD SET. THE LESSON LEARNED WAS THAT BY BACKING OUT AFTER THE FINAL PLANS WERE DRAWN AND THE ENGINEERING FEES WERE APPLIED TO OUR DEPOSIT, WE LOST $5126. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE FIRM FIGURES VERIFYING THAT IT CAN BE BUILT WITHIN YOUR BUDGET BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE FINAL PLANS.
Description of Work: THE WORK PERFORMED WAS SELECTING A LOG HOME STYLE AND OBTAINING A SET OF FINAL BUILDING PLANS.
