I felt like Gary abandoned my projects. I hired and paid for him to finish our basement/attic. I also had a few other projects like a fireplace remodel, kitchen tiling, and doorframe build that I needed. He finished the basement and quoted me for the others but said he would have to go to another project and come back after Christmas, then New Years, then he didn’t know. I have been calling, texting, and always get a runaround and a bunch of excuses. Miguel, his assistant, was great and always went above and beyond and provided great customer service. With Gary, it felt like pulling teeth to get my projects finished. He even left my finished attic with no door on the crawl space. My contract said “finish trim work in attic” and he claimed he didn’t know there was a crawl space door there when he quoted me so I’d have to pay someone else to do it. Honestly, I’m pretty sure that was an excuse to just be done with my project and on to a bigger dollar project he had lined up. I think he’s blowing me off now because he’s chasing higher paying jobs instead. Disappointing when someone doesn’t keep their word, so be wary of that. If you have a bigger dollar job, you’ll be fine until it gets to the end and he’s ready to move on and leave loose ends on your project. I wanted to give him a chance to redeem himself, but he doesn’t seem interested.

"You came from out of state and bought a house that needed completely remodeled. You called me and asked me to give you an estimate on a lot of remodeling bathrooms flooring painting basement attic. I gave you the price on all of the projects. Then you asked if you could see the itemized pricing. I text you the estimate. A few weeks later you said I could do the attic and basement which was the lowest estimate. You gave the painting and flooring to other contractors. When I signed the contract with you I said I could only do the attic and basement because I had other work scheduled. When we were there you asked if we could do some extra jobs and I did. Even fixed some of the other contractors work hooked up washer and dryer no charge hooked up stove no charge installed refrigerator and fixed cabinet no charge. So when it was time for me to go to another job you freaked out. And I told you up front. Now I have to pay for your insulting remarks. It doesn’t pay to be honest."

Gary's work is stellar. I hired him for my big upstairs renovation of converting a bedroom into my master bathroom. I liked his work so much I immediately hired him for a second round of renovation of adding a deck and flipping my downstairs family room. He has an initial meeting to go over all of my requests and then he puts together a contract with everything included in the pricing. He communicates well along the way and answers my questions in a timely manner. I recommend him to anyone needing work done!

We had a lot of remodeling done on our first floor and couldn’t be happier. Gary and his crew were very professional. They were efficient and kind. If there was a decision that needed to be made they always asked us what we wanted. We hope to have them come back soon to remodel our upstairs.

Gary and his crew lived up to the name “Superior “. They were always there when they said they would be and were courteous and professional. Gary gave me several good suggestions for the remodel and created a beautiful apartment. I was really concerned about ground water and keeping the apartment dry and safe. He saved me a lot of money with his personal contacts and willingness to to do the waterproofing on the outside as well. I would hire him again and recommend him to others.

Gary and his team did an excellent job from start to finish. Gary responded quickly to my estimate request as he also did through out the course of the project. The gas fireplace surrounded by glass tile was installed creating a beautiful focal point in the room. I showed Gary a picture and he created exactly what I wanted. The basement is beautiful. I highly recommend Superior Contractors!!

Gary and his team did a great job turning our unfished basement into a versatile living space. We went into the project with a solid idea of what we wanted, but not all of the details. Gary listened to our overall plan and made some really good design suggestions; especially about the bar area. What was just an open space with cement floor, is now a great entertainment room, custom bar with kitchen appliances, workout area, bedroom, full bath, and sizable storage space. His team was extremely efficient, completing the job in 2.5 months. He also installed a backsplash in our kitchen while he was here. Gary is a true professional, who I'd definitely recommend to others.

Things went well, the team was very friendly and did a wonderful job keeping the place clean as they worked. The project was completed in the time frame quoted and at a fair price. The family room and bookcase looks like the work was done by the original builder, so there is a seamless flow from prior to new construction. Gary wanted to ensure that things like baseboards, ceiling texture and door hardware were as close as possible to upstairs. These touches went a long way in the flow of our home. We've had a couple small issues, however Gary has been very responsive to addressing them.

Everything went super well, this was the first time my husband and I have hired a professional to do a remodel and we couldn't be happier! Gary is very prompt in returning calls and communicates very well and is just awesome to work with! Gary was right on target with how long the project would take and he turned our ugly and outdated bathroom into a beautiful space. Very professional and easy to work with and a great eye for details. Gary showed up when promised to look at the job and provide a quote. After approval, he came when promised and stayed on the job for 4 days/week over two weeks. Superior provided labor and materials. He kept me informed and engaged on the job and communicated well. I will call him again when I'm ready to do my deck.

The only thing that turned out ok that he did on his own without communicating with us was the front porch railing. We had to direct him on the fireplace. The two bathrooms turned out to be a disaster. What we were left with was a bowed bathroom wall that I am almost certain wasn't there before he started, but he said it was. I know for a fact when he first put up the tile wall there was no bow in it (I should have taken a picture). When he had to rip out the tub (that he selected), that you walked in, felt like a sponge and it had so much movement that it was coming away from the wall. When he replaced the tub and tile wall again, there was a bow in the wall because he had to tear out the drywall behind the tile wall. Due to his mistake, we had to drive to another State to purchase additional tile and actually pay for it, with no reimbursement from him, because it was discontinued. we ended up with 3 water leaks with one of the new vanity's having permanent water damage, and he installed the wrong floor and accent tile in one of the bathrooms. Two months after the project was completed, we were still dealing with water leaks popping up in the bathrooms. His plumbing skills are poor and he should have had a plumber do all of the plumbing work. A major inconvenience and disappointment, especially with the cost of the project. To sum it up, this contractor had every excuse in the book of why things happened the way they did and none of it had to do with him. Some of these things could have been prevented if he would have just asked the customer (the persons that are paying for the project) but instead, he just did things on his own without communicating with us. This has been an overall bad experience. We hope no other damages surface from this project in the future.

"Wow! just one of these customers you can not please no matter what you do. As far as the fire place, they gave me a small picture of how they wanted it to look. I communicated every day with her husband who worked from home. I showed him where the mantel height was going to be, he ok'd it so I continued to install the mantel and stone and after installing it they did not like the height so I took it down with the stone and installed it again,.They also made changes by wanting a tv installed, extra electric, and net work cable which was not part of the contract that they did not communicate with me. As far as the bathrooms they picked out everything except the bathtub which I gave them an allowance for. I ask them if they had picked out a tub and they told me to pick the tub. Every body has there own preference , so I went to Home Depot to pick a tub. I listened to the sales person and picked the tub that I thought was the best. I delivered it to them and they said they liked it so I installed it. After I installed the tile they decided that they did not like the tub. Never again will I pick out anything for someone else. I bent over backwards to please these people. They texted me on Thanksgiving day and said they had a drip in the bathroom and I was out the next day. The work that was done was completed in a professional manner and will be on my website to show. I guess you can't please everybody but I tried. The work will be the cathedral fire place and bathrooms with the bathtubs with the frameless doors. This review was very undeserving."

They did an amazing job on our basement game room. The work they provided far exceeded our expectations; it is now the nicest room in our house. Gary was very easy to deal with and always contacted us regarding any unforeseen conditions or changes. He was very flexible when we made changes to our design as well. He and his crew were friendly and respectful of our house, even our dog that barked at them most of the day. We would absolutely use Superior Contractors again and would recommend them to anyone. As I said before, the room turned out better than we could have ever imagined.

Superior Contractors provided excellent service. Gary was easy to work with and all of the workers were considerate and professional - I felt comfortable having them in my home. They were responsive to questions and concerns and helpful in the remodeling process. I also like the "pay-as-you-go" model. The end products looks great and functions well. It went very well.? They had three people to do the job. Took about a month to finish. First time remodel.? They did it right is what stood out to me. They didn't try to cut corners. I think they are professional and asked them to do what I needed and they provide input while the work is being done.
