SANDY HILL KENNELS

I was very concerned about leaving Dexter as he can be anxious. He experienced the usual amount of anxiety, but had a great time playing with other dogs. The staff at the kennel are great. They clearly love dogs and are very caring.

It went great. They were very attentive to his needs, being an old dog requiring medication.

It was for sixteen days.  It was expensive, but it was very good service.  I have used them multiple times, and been very happy each time.

This was an excellent experience for both myself and my dog. We had jut moved to Cranberry and I have never boarded my dog before he is 8 years old, needless to say I was very nervous about leaving him. He did great...how do I know this, when they brought him out to take home he did not see me and went to they ladies at the front desk very happy and wagging his tail and did not notice me at all. This is how I know he had a good time. He came home with more pep in step and happy. I would absolutely board him here again!

We rescued our dog a few months ago and didn't want to have to board him, but had no choice.  (I didn't want Toby to think we were giving him back again)  When we dropped him off I explained the situation and they were great and very understanding.  The  office and grounds are extremely neat and clean.  When we picked him up he was very happy to see us!  He got a bath when he was there and he smelled great!  They even gave us pointers about keeping his ears clean.
We have had to kennel him once again in September and it was like he knew he was going there and was very happy and went right back with the girl in the office.  He is always excited to see us when we get back and we can tell they take very good care of him and even think his howling is "cute"?. or so they say :)
Great people and a great place.

They were wonderful.  He was so happy; usually when I pick him out from some place he is like running to me as fast as he can....like save me, save me but he looked like he could stay there another week.  He was very happy.  Another time that I've used them, he was actually sick; I didn't know if he will go to the trip or not because he was just diagnosed with kidney stones so I thought this is not a good time to use them but with them and the medications I just felt so comfortable.  They just showed how much they loved my dog.  He is an old dog; he is not a puppy or something.  They were great.

We dropped our 11 month old puppy off for boarding and grooming while we had a long weekend out of town.  This was her second stay at Sandy Hill and she was super excited when we pulled into the parking lot.
This was the first time we had her fully groomed (bath, nails, etc.) and I was so pleased with the results.  She smelled great and was so soft.
We'll definitely be going back.

We had been looking for a new groomer for our dog.  Based on the many positive reviews on Angie's List and elsewhere, we decided to give Sandy Hill a try.  The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating.  They displayed a genuine concern for our dog as well as me.  Since I was a first-time customer, they even took me on a tour of the facility.

Pick up time was simple and efficient.  They went over with me what was done and even issued a report card for the dog (she got an A!).  The dog looks better than she ever has, and she came home happy and tired.

We were so pleased with the experience that we are already planning to board our dog there later this year.

My dog was done earlier than anticipated & was cut beautifully.

Our dog is so happy at Sandy Hill kennels that he didn't seem to want to come home.  He had playtime with other dogs and yet, because he is older, he got plenty of rest, too. His haircut was exactly what we wanted.  When we picked him up, everyone knew our dog and loved on him.  Note:  he is not always loved by others.  He has bitten people and that kennel knows he is dangerous, yet he seemed to be loved by all.  He is half blind and can't hear so D'Artagnan can be challenging yet they did not charge me for a difficult dog.

We've been taking our giant breed dog to Sandy Hill for 4 years and our dog loves her groomer, Heidi. She always looks forward to going their. Heidi does does an excellent job with shampoo, feather trim, nails and our puppy looks and smells beautiful with a complimentary scarf.

We took our dog to Sandy Hill Kennels for the first time in Aug 2014.  We referred by friends who have happily used Sandy Hill for years.
We were very impressed with the overall appearance of the kennel and with the quality of care our dog received while we were away.  
Just about as importantly, they charge about $10/day LESS than the kennels closer to Downtown Pittsburgh.  But the drive isn't bad and they are easy to find.
We would  highly recommend Sandy Hill Kennels and will be using their services again.

I thought they were great!  The first thing they offered was a free day stay for our dog so we could try it out and see if it was a good fit - it was! 
Most everyone I have spoken with there has been friendly and professional and I felt they took very good care of our dog.  I would definitely use their services again and I do recommend them to friends.
The only reason I didnt give them 100% was because the day we dropped our dog off was right before a holiday weekend, They were very busy and the girl at the desk was flustered and stressed - they could have had more help on hand for that busy day.

It went really well. They took good care of the dog. Their professionalism seemed very fine. The place was clean and they seemed to care about what they do.
