From sales to installation, we had a wonderful experience. The product is of high quality, and the staff was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The play yard at their store is amazing, and it is helpful that kids get to test the products to see what will be a good fit for your family. We highly recommend BEAR of PA, and will be back for future purchases.

After researching playsets, both online and in stores, we selected a set from Bear. They had about 20 playsets assembled on their lot and encouraged the kids to play on them to determine which features are appealing. I was honest and said we'd been thinking of buying an exact set from a big box store. Their set was on sale and came in slightly cheaper, including the install than we could have gotten it online. They were very knowledgeable and spent a good deal of time with us, discussing features and benefits and even steered us away from a couple of more expensive options we were considering. We appreciated their honesty and felt really good buying from them, knowing we'd have that customer service and follow up you don't get online. Two young men came to assemble the set. They were very courteous and professional and took care not to damage our grass. We're thrilled with how the set turned out and the kids love it. We'll head back to Bear if we ever decide to get a trampoline down the road!

We do have a fairly steep backyard so they did need us to get an area leveled off for proper installation so we got a 30'x20' area exacavated. We had originally just purchased the swing set and installation but due to schedules we later decided to have them also do the ties, mulch etc. We got a quote from them and signed the work order on May 10th. They came on May 13th to lay the fabric & put down the ties. When they arrived on the 13th they determined that the excavator had made our area about 30'x18.5'. Really not that big a deal since when I called them to get the reco on the size we needed they told me anything from 15' to 20' in depth would be fine. They installer made a big deal about and made my wife feel stupid for hiring and excavator who "didn't know what he was doing." He also complained loudly about the slope of our yard and how we wasn't going to carry all that mulch up the hill. He finished the fabric & ties and left. The next day we get a call trying to add $200 to our quote due to the slope. My wife told them to call back the next day when I would be home. I spoke to RJ, who is responsible for scheduling, and he told me the charge was due to "unforeseen" circumstances. I reminded him that they had a representative out to our house to see the area, there we nothing unforeseen about it. If they don't talk to each other in the office that is not my issue. I explained that my position was they either did it for the price they quoted us or we would cancel the remainder of the order and only pay for services rendered. RJ's reply was "OK, I start cancelling the order. That's idiotic, you'll lose. Goodbye." and hung up on me. So, now we will have to work with our attorney to resolve the issue. There Sales Orders do say "Installation price assumes a level site. If excess digging is required, an additonal charge may apply." There is no additional digging required and as I mentioned earlier they had a representative out to our house at the start of this whole process so I don't know how they could not have known about the slope in the backyard." This has made the whole experience and complete pain. They were very friendly and accommodating as we made the purchase dealt with delays in excavation but the folks we've dealt with in the last few days have been the least costumer friendly people I've ever dealt with and in this day & age that is saying something.
