Just bought a house. AC went down. Called Meade because they did maintenance on it in the past. Didn't know what the problem was. Turned out to be a thermostat. They quoted me $494 for the thermostat. Total came to $600. $600. $600 for a thermostat??? I was NOT told there were much cheaper options like less than $100 so I agreed. After complaining about the price, I was told this was the standard price and that these were better thermostats with a five year warranty. No way they are $300 better and I feel miserable daily about my mistake and getting ripped off like this. If I were told there are cheaper thermostats out there, I would not have agreed to pay $600. The service and the technician was great and all works fine, but I needed to warn potential customers about these outrageous prices. I should have been told about a cheaper option and could've save up to $300.

They declined without visiting just because I said I expected transparent pricing. They price by the job and will not discuss any details on pricing. Hmm - so the more a customer understands pricing then the less happy they are...

I would say everything.

They are always professional. They are on time. They are easy to work with. I don't have anything to recommend for improvement.

Very smoothly, couple days to install, corrected ductwork issues didn't just drop in new units. Really professional, clean job.

Very professional company, written quote, arrived the day they said they would spent one whole day and part of another installing new HVAC system.   Cleaned up after themselves, basement was cleaner than when they started. 
 So far system works great, new furnace is so quiet that we do not know it is on. 

I will be using Meade in the future for any of my HVAC or other large appliance needs.

I had 3 vendors visit and provide repair/replacement options for a cooling system (air conditioner) that was over 13yrs old and had leaked all the coolant.  All 3 vendors provided replacement and repair estimate and options but Meade's was the only one reasonably priced.  Since the system was based on the older coolant and replacement of the coolant was expensive I opted to replace the air conditioner than try to find/repair the leak.  Meade was able to offer a replacement of both the cooling and heating system for not much more than the other vendors would replace just the air conditioner.  Replacement of the unit came with a new warranty and it was eligible for a Peco rebate as part of their energy saving program.  The installers removed the old unit, flushed the coolant line, and installed the new heater/cooler without issue.  The installers were clean, on time, and courteous.  The A/C was used for 1 month without issue and the furnace was used over the winter without issue.

I would recommend Meade for installations of such units in the future.

Good service! Meade just replaced our aging natural gas furnace and corrected some venting issues that existed since the original installation (by another company). Our aging heater quit on us during a recent cold snap. Meade got it working again and limped it along until they could get a new furnace installed just a few days later. Their response to our heating crisis was quick, responsive, professional and reasonable in price. We have been using Meade for 20 years for our HVAC needs and have been pleased with their service.

They are polite, punctual and provide a great, reliable service.  Without them, we probably would have had major issues with our heating/air conditioning system.  The one time we did have an issue, since we are under contract, they came out asap and took care of us.  Well worth the cost.

Did a thorough inspection of heat pump/air conditioner and cleaned humidifier. An excellent job overall.

They have always been very helpful and done only the work that needs to be done.

Our AC unit failed, so we found the warranty information, contacted Meade.  Nina walked us through every part of the process and was extremely friendly and helpful.
Scheduling was easy, and the tech was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. 
We did have to wait a couple days for the part, but the tech came back out and fixed our unit no problem, and we are all better.

Excellent Service.  I have used Meade for several years for fall and spring maintenance and they always do a good job.  They do a good job of communicating what work is being done and exactly what's needed and what it will cost.

Things were fantastic. I called them based on a referral from several Eagleview neighbors who were very happy with Meade. I figured the tech would pronounce my AC unit DEAD, as has been the case with dozens of my neighbors over the last 2 years. To my shock and amazement, the tech, Chris, informs me that all I need is a condenser fan. They could have EASILY slammed me for a new unit costing thousands. Chris was most honest and forthright.
These folks deserve a shot at a lot of future business around here. Seldom will you find folks who are this honest , professional, and nice.
I was also aware that their estimates are far more honest than anyone else locally.They are a local family, not a big chain.

Very well.  Meade provided me with options and once I decided on my preferred solution, the  technician did the work immediately and stayed a little while after to make sure the system was working properly.
System is still functioning well!

The team showed up on time, worked continuously to install the units.  Everyone was professional, polite and respectful. They cleaned up after themselves so well that if it weren't for the new equipment, I couldn't even tell they were there. one of the men dropped the hand truck on an extendable drain spout.  I was informed immediately and it was replaced before they left. Meade appliance does the routine maintence checks on my heat pump.  I wouldn't think of hiring anyone else.
