Mr. Powell was to remove a large section of plants and shrubs in an area from the curb in front, to a parking area in the drive. This was about 24 by 19 feet. It was crowded with shrubs that all seemed to have thorns and a huge rock hidden by the shrubs. It needed constant weeding and trimming. I would be so torn from the thorns, i would have to wear long sleeves when going out. The scratches and gouges would just start to heal and it would be time to weed and trim again. I could wear long sleeves to do it but the heat and humidity would be unbearable. He dug out all the shrubs and hauled them away. He moved some rocks that were used to line one side. These he hauled away also. The large rock he dug up and moved to a better place. He transplanted several hosta(?) plants and put them in the corner. He put more hostas around trees and brought in black dirt and planted grass. This he covered with straw. He went to a part of the yard that had a slope. It had been landscaped with rocks into a wall about 4 feet high. The rocks ranged from huge to about 8 or ten inches. He removed the rocks and rebuilt the wall making it shorter. There was another level which he removed and any stones he couldn't use he took away. He curved the wall back on ground level and planted more hostas . The rest of the area he sloped and put in seed. He then put several large rocks in that area and a landscape item I had he placed there. It all looked great. Then he began on the side by the garage. He removed LARGE!! shrubs that were planted to close to the side of the house. It was damaging the siding. This area he sloped down away from the side of the house and planted some bulbs he had found there. He even put my chives in a pot and and put another bunch by the garage side door, so I could get them if the weather were bad. All this and he was a very personable man and a pleasure to meet. I cannot recommend him highly enough
