Whinnery and Son Painting had one week to transform the lower level in our home, as we were preparing to have our son's Bar Mitzvah on September 8th with company from out of town. They did a marvelous job. From start to finish they were professional, creative, clean, dependable, affordable, efficient and trustworthy. Joe made suggestions regarding paint color and using a different color on an adjacent wall to highlight the fireplace. Joe also recommended affordable suppliers for the flooring, which was a huge help with the budget. The cabinets were the biggest surprise. He took old oak cabinets with brass handles and brought them back to life by removing each door and hardware. He used a special technique to have a brushed antique look to the cabinets and he polished the hardware. The antique white paint he used just brightened the entire room. We were completely amazed at the finished product. I had been complaining for years that I wanted a new kitchen but it just wasn't in the budget. Joe and Ian made it possible to have our new kitchen/family room and powder room and not feel overwhelmed by the cost or disruption in our lives. I never had any concerns leaving Joe and Ian or their staff alone in our home. They put us at ease right away and I would highly recommend them to family, friends, colleagues and strangers.

When we bought our house the kitchen was dark from the deep wood color of the cabinets and wood details. I wanted a light airy feeling in the kitchen and thought that painting the wood white could achieve this feeling. Ian and Joe were professional, respectful, timely and efficient. Each cabinet door was removed carefully with hardware labeled to keep parts organized. They used a professional sprayed to achieve a clean streak free look on the cabinet doors. They were diligent in their work and efficient with our time. The cabinets turned out gorgeous and better than I could have imagined. It absolutely changed the feel of our kitchen and attached dinning room. The house was left clean and the project completed on time. They are both trustworthy and professional individuals. I would highly recommend this company to friends and family.
