When they realized the predicament and why it was important for me to get the car back (and in driving condition) asap, they went to work on it, pulling someone off another car that wasn't needed to be done until the next day, and they stayed after closing hours to finish the job.
I got to the CGC class with my dog, with just moments to spare before class started.
As a note - I'm convinced that if we hadn't made it to that class, we wouldn't have been so prepared to take the test. And when we took the test, my dog was the ONLY dog who passed the class that night. And that might not have happened if the kind gentlemen at Speedway hadn't put above-and-beyond efforts to get me back out that same day.
