Tuning and minor repair of an old upright that hadn't been tuned probably in 20 years. He really took his time and now it sounds great. It was massively out of tune before and he brought it back up with no broken strings.

James was prompt, thorough, and quick to explain anything I had questions about. Good piano tuning isn't cheap, but I did feel confidant that my piano was in good hands. Happily, my thrift store piano was easily tuned and sounds great!

Ms. Palmer spent well over an hour cleaning, repairing, and tuning our baby grand, which is more than a century old. She was very thorough and professional.

Another company that had been responsible for reconditioning the case of this piano had taken over the tuning as well.  However, there was an irritating and significant squeaking problem with the sustaining pedal. The other company's tuner insisted, over the period of several months, that the only solution was to dismantle the entire pedal apparatus and take it into the factory for fixing. I finally called Judith Palmer, with whom I had previously been extremely happy for her tuning services, and asked her for a second opinion. She came with tool box in hand, not only did a far better job with tuning, but also disassembled, fixed and reassembled the pedals to my total joy and satisfaction.

I have no hesitation in recommending her work. I am very sad to learn that she will be retiring eventually, but am sure that anyone she has chosen to take over her business will also be excellent.

Judith is both friendly and professional. She does a great job, and makes suggestions if there are things that would make the instrument better. If I can't be home I trust her to come in, do the job, and leave an invoice. She has been servicing my piano for one 20 years. I would recommend her to anyone.

She does great work. She did significant repairs to our baby grand with a cracked sound board, and she has brought it back into good shape after we rescued it from 20 years in someone's damp basement. I highly recommend her services.
