Jim arrived and started replacing the pipes right away. He was very sweet and helpful and answered all my questions in a professional manner. I was very happy with him and his work. I definitely will use McLoughlin in the future.

I have always been impressed with the responsiveness and honesty of the technician from McLaughlin. The work was done quickly and he gave me honest advice when I asked what more might need to be done in the near future - nothing urgent. Also impressive was that I called on a Thursday afternoon to see if by chance I could get someone the following afternoon and even asked that it be after 3 PM. They worked it out! I'm not sure how their prices compare, but I will always count on McLaughlin, because I know they are fair and work hard to meet my needs.

Failed to rebuild lavatory faucets correctly, required placement of new faucets (which continue to leak due to faulty installation). Failed to clear bathroom soaker tub and repair valve. Replaced shower valve cartridge improperly which still does not provide hot water. Work was sloppy, unprofessional and overcharged. Plumber was incompetent. Would never hire this terrible company again.

everything went well. It's been a while since I used a plumber. He replaced the insides of my toilet. Without knowing prices, I felt it was very expensive. I probably should have gotten other estimates. The work he did was fine and except for the cost, I nave no complaints .

Better than expected Serviceman came the same day as my inquiry after diagnosis of the problem he told me that a new water heater was my best option when i asked when the work could be done he said in a couple of hours!

We hired Mcloughlin to replace a water heater in our home. They did a good job with the installation and were punctual and professional. However, the price was on the high side and exceeded the estimate. We called them a couple of weeks later to check on our AC unit as it began rattling the day after the work was completed. The tech came out drew up an estimate of $1,300.00 for replacement parts and charged us a hidden fee of $225 (Service and diagnostic) which we were not made aware of before hand. After questioning the fees/voicing my displeasure they cut the charge in half. The next day we had another company come out and their tech told us that estimate was ridiculous and that all he needed to do was tighten a part. We were charged $50 and have not heard any rattling since. My experience with Mcloughlin is as follows 1. They do good work but believe me you pay for it. 2.They look to maximize the amount of $ they can charge consumers regardless of any past working relationships. 3. I would only use them again after I make my first million.

Very satisfied with the work done. I was looking for one company who could handle plumbing, heating and AC. McLoughlin was of the very few companies servicing my area (19130) who was able to provide a Certificate of Insurance required by my HOA. They were also one of the few companies that actually answered my Angie's List message to them promptly. They called me the day before our scheduled appointment to verify that they were coming the next day. Mark, the service tech, came on time and was very professional and patient. He answered all my questions and took the time to explain things to me. He told me the price for all the things I wanted done before he did the work so there were no surprise charges. I was very comfortable having him work on the services I needed and everything was cleaned up afterwards. I've never had to pay for a plumber before so I don't know if the price was good or not but the price I paid for the installation of the faucet I provided was worth it to me. Mark also serviced my rooftop AC unit and the heating unit in my condo. Because of the quality on the services performed and my comfort level with Mark, I signed up for their preventive maintenance membership. I now have some peace of mind in knowing that I have found a company who will check to make sure my AC, heating, plumbing, and water heater are properly maintained.

Jim Rafferty, our sales representative, was knowledgeable and responsive. Our installers took one and a half days to complete. Overall, I was satisfied with the timeliness, price, and quality of the work that was performed. My only complaint is that my air conditioning unit stopped working properly five days after the installation. We called Jim and someone came out the same day to evaluate the problem. They attributed the problem to a leak in the system. As a temporary solution, they re-charged our system and scheduled a time for a technician to find the leak and repair it. A few days later, a technician came back to our house, found a leaking valve, and replaced it. All of this was covered by our one year labor warranty. Thankfully, my parents are retired, so they were able to be at my house when the technician needed access to our home. However, I can see how this would have been a hardship for someone who needed to take off from work each time the technician came to our house for two follow up repair visits. Aside from the leak, I was satisfied with the quality of the work done and the responsiveness of the company in resolving my problem.

Everything went well. On this latest trip, the plumber experienced some trouble shutting off the water at the street, but was quite persistent in uncovering the brass valve and getting water turned off. The rest of the process went quickly from there.
On their first visit in June, I was impressed by a number of things. First, they were able to send someone out the same day to help me with a problem that resulted from disconnecting an old dishwasher and a resulting leaky shut off valve and the discovery of a broken kitchen sink pipe. Life without your kitchen sink is difficult, so I was quite thankful for the same day service. Second, the plumber did a visual inspection of the basement and noted a number of issues, including the very old main water valves. He fixed what was needed for the immediate problem and provided prices on the other issues found. There was no pressure to fix the other issues and no follow-up calls from the company to push the other work. I followed up on my own for peace of mind.
McLoughlin calls the next day after each visit to be sure you are satisfied.
I rated B for price, because all plumbing fixes seem to be more than one would like/expect. I'm told McLoughlin is extremely reasonable compared to others in the area.
