This was a great experience! I first called Jim and left a message and he called back in the same day. I explained that I had recently purchased a new home and my back deck was raw wood and needed to be treated. He agreed and made a way to squeeze me into his schedule to come out and take a look. He provided me with a quote the same day he came out. The work was performed in a timely fashion, weather permitting and done very professionally and with much care. I was stuck on a color and he even stopped by to give his opinions!! He was a pleasant and nice person to work with and I would definitely hire him again for other projects.

Jim responded quickly when I contacted him and gave me a realistic time frame for the work. He showed up when he said he would be there and always checked in with me about the products he was planning to use and his plan for the repairs. He was meticulous in his work and the results are great. I have also used Jim for several other painting projects inside my house and have always been pleased. Jim is pleasant to have around and I highly recommend him.

Jim immediately responded to my call and was able to do the repair first thing the next morning . He explained what needed to be done and gave us an accurate estimate . Our door now locks securely and is as good as new . We have used him several times and he always does excellent work at a fair price . He's extremely conscientious and reliable .

Jim Mcdaniel of Mcdaniel services is top quality service. Once you meet him and hire him, you will think you hit the jackpot in character service people. I have been a home owner for almost 20 years and there is no one I would trust more to work in or outside of my home than Jim McDaniel. You have to call this man if you have small or medium size jobs... If he can't do the work, he won't take the job so before you hire a contractor to do work, do yourself a favor and call McDaniel service. As a teacher, I know good people when I meet them and jim is another service provider that I know would make his past teachers proud.

 He did a superb job cleaning and  re-coating  our deck .

My master bedroom closet had never been finished; it was open to the eaves and the rafters.  Jim hung drywall, moving the wiring and site of the electrical fixture to accommodate it, and installed baseboard and a hinged panel to cover the attic access.  He left it all ready-to-paint, as I asked.  It's a tremendous improvement on the mess that I started with.  The job took several days, but every day he left the master bedroom neat as a pin so that I could continue to use it myself.  He was also very communicative about what he was doing and why and always made sure that I was okay with the plan when the inevitable changes cropped up.  Solid work from a good handyman; would use again!

Fantastic! Jim was able to provide a quote the next day and scheduled the work quickly. Very professional and friendly. He works very cleanly and left our kitchen cleaner than when he started! Would not hesitate to hire again!

Jim is very much the kind of handyman you hope you'll find to do your project.  He knows what he can and cannot do and is very upfront about the scope of work he can handle.
Jim was  very professional and knowledgeable. He offered suggestions to increase the strength and stability of the stairs (adding a fourth stringer and using support brackets).
The work space was kept clean and all debris were removed from the work site.
He was very organized and got right to work upon arrival.  He stayed engaged until the job was done and called me out occasionally to check on progress or to ask questions.  
Jim's excellent at building trust: He says what he's going to do, when he's going to do it and then does it!  He is a pleasure to work with and I will certainly use him for some future projects I have planned.
The only downside is he's so busy, you have to be patient for his availability but it is worth it for good quality work.

Jim was  very professional, courteous  , and knowledgeable . He offered great suggestions . He was very neat and careful .He's also extremely  honest .  He said we didn't need our deck coated this year . Last year when he coated our deck he gave us cost cutting advice  and did and excellent job .  He's an expert in matching paint and did a superb job today as he has done in many of our past projects .  Jim communicates  very clearly . He is an absolute pleasure to work with . We will certainly use Jim in the future. .

I requested a quote for service with a short notice start date to coincide with the finishing of newly installed hardwood floors.  I promptly received a call from John explaining his schedule would not allow the request.  I appreciate the professionalism and honest feedback.  I would reconsider McDaniel in the future.

Jim under promised and over delivered.  He did a great job in the cabinet doors.  We thought they might not be salvageable, but they look good as new.  He really knows paint.  He can blend in the new paint with the old seamlessly.  His work on the ceilings went quickly and there were no drips on the walls, furniture or floors.  Very nice work all around.

Everything was done professionally and on time with a fair price.  Had a great experience and will be hiring in the future!!

Jim was responsive and punctual. Always provided us with updates of his progress, cleaned up after each projects, accommodating of our schedules, professional and courteous. We will definite recommend Jim as well as use his services again.
