JOSEPH STONG PLUMBING

He's been in Chester for many years. I think it's gone from father to son, but I'm not quite sure, but they are reputable.He's pricey, but they're on time and they're friendly and thorough. I know more about him because he did a lot of renovations at my former church and I had to be there as the accounting warden at the time and so I had to sign the checks and inspect what was done. He moved a couple of bathrooms in the parish hall but mostly we had to change a shower room into a ladies bathroom and we had to remove all that old piping and fix it up so it'd be a bathroom and a lounge. He was excellent. The bill was $385, which is a lot of money to look in the sewer, but the equipment was not cheap. I wish it were a lot lower, but I do understand the cost of technology and if I had tree problems I would definitely want that. From years of living in the community I know he's also very trustworthy. I'm thinking of calling him tomorrow.

Excellent company. Very responsive to customer needs. Very efficient. Arrived on time. Workmen were very neat and cleaned up after the job. Very very pleased with the workmanship and professional quality of the people sent on 5-6 different occasions that I used Strong Plumbing. Strong has done a number on major and minor repair jobs for us over the past few years including the replacement of a blocked outdoor sewer line over the Christmas holiday ($3500)- required digging up a section of an old sewer pipe. Previous jobs included repair of powder room drain ($270). New outdoor valve ($252), repair of bathtub drain and re-caulking ($500) and replacement of indoor sewer line ($800).

I called three days ahead for this appointment and was given a two hour window. They never showed up or called. I called them and they said they could possibly arrive in another hour or so but I had to go to work.

THE PLUMBER DID NOT CLEAN UP WELL. THE FLOOR WAS DIRTY AND BITS OF THE OLD TOILET CREATED A TRAIL THROUGH THE HOUSE. TWO MARKS WERE MADE IN THE WOODWORK. THIS IS NOT MY FIRST BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PLUMBER. ONCE, WHEN CALLED TO REPAIR A CLOGGED TOILET, THE PLUMBER ASKED FOR A PLUNGER AND TRIED TO CLEAN THE AREA USING TOILET PAPER.
