js salmon home remodeling

JS Salmon Home Remodeling (JSH) was hired to perform some home renovations at my property in Philadelphia, PA. To provide some basic information, I have a Civil Engineering and Construction Management background. I’ve been employed with a Construction Management firm for the past 25 yrs. The project was estimated to be completed in about 6-7 weeks and included demolition of wall paneling, opening entrance way to living room, drywall installation, painting, ceiling fan installations, floor installation, powder room construction and complete bathroom renovations as well as carpet installation on the second floor. JSH started on July 30, 2018 and the contract was terminated on October 9, 2018 due to slow performance and production quality. Several punch list items and the carpeting were not completed. JSH performed slowly, sloppily and was not attentive to details. JSH refused to man the job properly and continually to arrived with one helper working roughly 10AM to 4 PM throughout the majority of the project. JSH repeatedly lied about certain aspects of the project and where ordering of materials were concerned. After questioning JSH about work related to construction industry standards, I was told not to worry about little things and that the project would look “nice” once it was completed. In my good conscience, I can not recommend JSH services. Enclosed are some photos showing finished construction and some issues I was left to repair/complete myself after the contract was terminated on October 9, 2018.
