I was directed to Gene Gerhard. He walked me though the showroom, showing me various models of appliances and explaining what options I might have to make thing work. We explored potentially getting a different oven - maybe even something which would go into a different wall. He then sat me down and gave me an assignment. I needed to go home and take measurements of my space - and my existing appliances. He gave me his card and said to email him all the details, along with as much as I could about what I'd already purchased and the openings in which I was trying to install appliances. I immediately went home and followed his instructions on the measuring project - and sent him everything within a couple of hours. I waited a week - and when he didn't reply, I called. I was told he was busy with another customer, so I left a message. He called me later that afternoon stating that he was busy with "rebates" but had received my message he did think he had a solution for me. He wanted to discuss the solution and asked if I would be home in an hour. I said I would. He agreed to call me back that evening. He didn't call back. I waited a couple of days and called again. Again, I was told he was busy. I left another message. Again, he didn't call me back. I called a third time a couple of days later, and was told he'd stepped out. I was asked if I wanted to leave a message. I explained that I had been leaving messages and wasn't being responded to. I asked if someone else could help me. The woman said she could. I explained the scenario and she said she couldn't help me. She went on to say that Gerhard's would not help me because I didn't buy my appliances from them. I explained that I was in the store already to look at buying new appliances from them, and that Gene said he had a solution, but I couldn't reach. She said she had no idea what he was doing, and she didn't think they would help me, but would have him call me back. Do you think he called back? No. I have now wasted more than 2 weeks and I am the Christmas dinner host for 25 people. I have no oven and no solution in sight. And a local business with whom I placed my confidence won't even give me the courtesy of returning my call - they've just string me along for more than 2 weeks as we inch up on Christmas. As a lifelong resident of the area, I have driven by this place for years and always wanted to go in. Now I am sorry I did. Beware - they have no customer commitment and no honor to their word. Shameful.
Description of Work: I walked into Gerhard's, which is nearby to my local neighborhood, on November 17, 2015 to ask for their help with a problem I was having with new appliances in my kitchen. I had appliances which were purchased elsewhere and my contractor said they did not fit well together (despite that they were rated to fit together). My contractor did not have time in his schedule to modify my cabinets and suggested that I hire a local appliance shop to either help made the modification to my cabinet or buy replacement appliances form them. I expected to have to replace at least one of my appliances to make everything fit and I wanted to use a local shop to get more one on one service than what a big box store might offer me, as a single woman trying to manage a kitchen remodel on my own. I clearly needed help and hoped this local shop would get me through it.

They are very pleasant. The price that we got was wonderful. They were very accommodating and we worked out the purchasing when the best rebate were being offered. They held off when things got send in. There was a little issue with one of the units that was suppose to be build in, it was ordered wrong; they were not responsive with having them pick it up and ship it back. There was no extra cost, but it took some time to work out the details. In the end its worked itself out and everything worked out very well. It was nice to be able to deal with them locally too.
Description of Work: We got all of our appliances through them. We got induction cooktop, microwave, oven, range hood, dishwasher, wine cooler, refrigerator and a washer and dryer too They are local and they shipped it out to Arizona for us.
