Decorative Concrete Service
This company put in the patio last year and did an excellent job. The owner recommended we have it re-sealed this year. When I called to schedule he told me he moved and sold the company to one of his employees. He gave me this persons #. He re-sealed on 5/2/2013 with two coats of sealant after pressure washing the patio and drying it with a leaf blower. That evening and into the following day multiple large bubbles formed and my patio looked like a pot of boiling water. I blew up his phone with repeated calls over the next two days. he would not return my calls. I stopped payment on my check on 5/6/2013 hoping he would call. I received a call 6/1/2013 asking me to correct payment of my insufficient funds check. I explained I stopped payment due to the problem and the owner not calling me back. The owner's father came to look at the patio 2 days later and agreed there was a problem. The owner contacted me on 6/21/20 to schedule a time to come to correct the problem. He engaged in a heated conversation with my husband and hung up. I left several messages asking him to call me and he did not return my calls. He contacted his office staff(Dad) and was told he would come on 6/29/2013 to correct the problem weather permitting. We discussed what he was going to do when he arrived. He started the job at 8:30am by using a solvent and rags to spot remove the sealant. He then used paint roller and sponge brushes to apply a coat of the sealant. He waited 20 minutes and applied a second coat. He was done at 10:30am. I inspected the patio and showed him where he did not fix the problem. He told me that in the past 2 years every job he has done people complained. He stated he changed sealants. I told him that since I was worried the same thing would happen as before I would give him $250.00 now and the balance in 3 days if there are no problems given his history of not returning my calls. He yelled and swore at me and I asked him not to swear. He then instructed me to give him a check for $300 to cover his materials. I did and told him I would mail him a check for $200.00 in 3 days if the problem is corrected. He started yelling at me from across the yard asking if I had not agreed to paying him $500. I went in the house and he and his worker remained in the yard looking at the patio. At noon the multiple large bubbles started to form again as well as a white haze in several areas. I called him at 2:20pm and left a message informing him of the problem and asking him to return to see the problem for himself. He has yet to return my call.
