The representative arrived on time, was courteous, professional, and efficient. Obviously he knows his business. He diagnosed the situation and concluded, I think correctly, that carpenter ants are at work in our wall. However, he could not confidently tell me exactly where the infestation was occurring, and he expressed little confidence that the treatment he prescribed (and performed right then and there) would actually solve the problem, though it was not cheap. Seems to me that he should have either undertaken to take action that would have fixed the problem (removal of siding to allow visual investigation of the infestation and damage), or left it alone for someone who would. Instead, he injected insecticide and flushing agent into the general area, peered at the outside of the house for awhile without result, on my request reluctantly gave me a 60-day warranty that he hedged around, and left. Overall, there are some situations where I would consider hiring this company again (for preventative work, or for an infestation that was easily accessible), but I will call another company in the (likely, I am afraid) event that the ants march back in, or are still there.

We had carpenter ants that we tried to get rid of for a couple months with no luck. With my daughter's birthday party coming up on the weekend I called with the assumption that they probably wouldn't be able to fit us in before that. I was pleasantly surprised! The owner called me back after hours to schedule the service for the next afternoon! The serviceman came the next day and spent time looking around our house with me as I pointed out problem areas. He then treated the house and was done in around 30-60 minutes. (I can't remember exactly.) The ants were gone within a couple days and none were around for her party! However, they give you a guarantee in case the first treatment doesn't get rid of them, they will come back and treat the house again within so many days (without looking, I can't remember how long, I think it was either 60 or 90 days.) They were all so nice to work with and knowledgeable! I would definitely hire them again! (I think the cost was around $275.00, which seemed a little costly to me, but it worked, so it was worth it! And, I would imagine that this is probably an average cost for any service like this by a reputable company. I think we probably spent half of that before calling them trying to treat it on our own.)

They are knowledgeable about the products they use and responsible toward animals and the environment. Dealing with the staff at Vermin Control takes a lot of the pain out of pest problems.
