Everything was as promised, and was done ahead of schedule.

Drive has several cracks. Steps were not level and collects standing rain water when raining, said they would return in April and didn't. Said they would return in May. Nothing. They don't return my calls anymore let alone answer the phone. Beware.

Phil and his team at Compton's Construction were excellent.  I will definitely recommend them to others and would use them again.  I wasn't even home when they started moving the tree.  I arrived home 4 hours after they started and saw that my old patio was removed and my tree had been moved and it looked like it had been there all along.  Phil actually went and got a load of screened dirt to nestle my beloved tree to give it a better chance of survival.  The patio was completed in 2 days, exactly as stated in our discussion.  The work was seamless and done to my exact specifications.  He even added a sealer to my new paver patio which was not stated in my contract.  I didn't have to do any clean up, they took care of that.  I am so proud of my new patio and am very happy with the outcome.  Phil has a good eye and made suggestions to my requests and I am so happy that I chose Compton's.

I initially made contact with Compton's Construction at the Home and Garden Show in Pittsburgh. A date and time was set to review the property and my expectations. The gentleman arrived on time. I told him what I would like to have done and the approximate time frame for completion. He told me how much it would cost and an available time to begin based on his schedule before he left. I did not have to wait days for an estimate.

When I called back, several weeks later to have a contract drafted, he remembered my request and my garden. He incorporated an amendment we had not talked about and sent the contract out the next day. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. She called the day before to confirm the date and time they would begin.

They arrived on time with equipment and men ready to work. My husband and the neighbors remarked about how well the men worked as a team and were respectful of the neighborhood. No swearing, no excuses. They just did what needed to be done in quick order, in a professional way, at a reasonable cost and the clean up was a plus.

This was a job well done.

They did an amazing job! They were very professional. They started and completed the job within the time frame given and they were very careful to clean up the area before they left each day.
