Description of Work: I called Mr. Sturgis and spoke with him about installing a new bath tub and building a screened porch. We met on April 20,2016. I anticipated moving into my new home on June 22. He told me that he could do the tub by that date but I would have to wait for the porch. I said that was alright. He said he would get back to me with a proposal. My early June I had heard nothing. I called his office several times and left messages. Finally someone in the office picked up the phone and said he would contact Mr. Sturgis. On June 9, Mr Sturgis said he had misplaced my paper work. He said he would meet with the plumber the next day and pull together an estimate. It is now June 23 and I have still heard nothing. This is a man who claimed to be Christian. I find he actions reprehensible. If he could not do the job he should let you know.

+ -1 moreThey tore everything out. It looks good. They removed the cabinets and they used someone local to refinish my old cabinets. Just looking at them from a distance, they look okay. If you look up close, I could probably find 35-45 spots that I don't like. The person that they had refinish the project was here and would not guarantee his work. He would not back it up. He would not do anything. I was not very happy with this person. His work was very poor quality. I've used them for two things - for some other work that they did back in 2014 and then the kitchen. I'm not sure, after the kitchen, that I would use them again.

+ 0 moreSturgis Builders replaced all the windows in our home (20+). Workmanship is excellent, the workers were respectful, knowledgeable and efficient. We would definitely have them back to work on the house. Pricing was not cheap but was competitive and fair.

Description of Work: I contacted this company via their website and never heard from them. I don't even know how long it's been, but at least a month, I imagine. Guess they didn't need my business--which is good, since they won't be getting it.

+ -1 moreThey were respectful of us and our home and cleaned up well at the end of every single day. I would use him again in a minute.
Description of Work: We were redoing our kitchen and we went to a kitchen company who recommended an architect who recommended john. Mr. Sturgis gave the lowest bid for the architects work, and the architect worked really well with him. Mr. Sturgis is very reliable and works very well with all his subcontractors. He communicated well and stayed on his time line to a T. He really organized the gutting of our kitchen around the thanksgiving season and the whole project was finished by Christmas eve.
