About us
In 1964, after serving a four year active term in the Air Force, Tom returned to Tamaqua and began his auto body business. Back then, there were many auto body shops in the area, and starting a new shop was a slow process. He worked as a school bus driver and played in a band while continuing to build up the auto body shop. After a year, Tom’s moved to its present location at 250 S. Greenwood Street in Tamaqua, PA. Tom soon married and raised two sons, who started working in the business. Both took an interest in the auto business at a very young age and still do today. Since opening, Tom’s Auto body has been providing excellent service and outstanding value for customers throughout the greater Tamaqua area. Now Tom has passed this tradition of quality work and customer care to his sons, Tom Jr. as manager, and Chris as shop foreman. Together they are continuing to provide the area’s best service.
