I called RJ Groner Co Heating, Cooling & Plumbing to service my furnace they said between 10 & 2 they were in my driveway at 9:42am. The Tech Ryan was so friendly and polite cleaned my furnace tuned it up did what he had to do and was on his way. I highly recommend RJ Groner. This is my 5th year using them since purchasing my new furnace from them. Great company but more so great techs that work for them.

Called r.j. Groner Inc. Heating, Cooling & Plumbing to come out to take a look at my Geothermal heat pump. Had a condensate error. Scheduled a technician to come out the next day 7/9, they gave me a window of 10:00 am- 2:00 pm he showed up after 2:30. He was here about an hour flushed out the condensate line, no materials restarted the unit charged $369 and left. Within 20 minutes the unit stopped again. I called the office, and they came backout they were still in the neighborhood. He flushed the pan and lines again. This time he checked the freon charge and water flow. He said the pressures were good and the water flow was right. He left with the unit running. I shutdown the unit overnight because if it failed again, I didn't want the water running all night. The next day I turn the unit back on and later noticed the compressor was not running this time the error code was low pressure. I called the office again they said they would send someone else out the next day again between 10:00 am- 2:00 pm showed up about 2:00 different tech, so much for getting right back to the job you were working on. He checked the unit out saw the low pressure error checked the freon and there was none, no pressure. So he pressured the unit up with nitrogen and it held pressure, he said he would leave it pressured up overnight to make sure it held pressure. If it held they would pull a vacuum on the system, evacuate the system and charge it up. I got a call from the office day 3 they told me they would have someone there between 12 and 4:00 PM. This time at 3:30 I got a text he was on the way. I called and the answering service said they would check it out, no return call or text. A 3rd different tech showed up at 4:35. He checked the pressure, the test pressure held. No sign of a leak during the test but he said possibly leaked through the shreader valve. So I was like OK pull a vacuum on the system, evacuate the system and charge it up. He said he was just there to check the pressures and the office would get back to me to schedule the vacuum on the system, evacuate the system and charge it up. He said they probably wouldn't call until Monday (day 7 without AC) because it was Friday. W**!!! Meanwhile I got 2 emails from Mike Katz, President of R.J. Groner to write a review. I'm sure these are automated but it shows he's not involved with the work not getting done going on in the field. I would rate them a zero because of their scheduling, work-management and lack of urgency getting the job done for the customer. You can't blame the guys in the field. The guys came in and fixed my leaky kitchen sink in the blink of an eye! Very impressed by how they identified the problem, communicated it to me and then fixed the issue quickly and efficiently. RJ Groner is my go to for plumbing, heating and cooling problems! Use them if you run across any issues!

Excellent, Ryan is a true credit to your company. He explained to me what part needed to be replaced and the office followed up by calling me on the price so we could proceed with repairs. Just to let all potential customers know I called the company and before they come to look at your system they will ask for your credit card over the phone and insist you do that before they come.. This is not something that I would do or would recommend that anyone else does on the phone. I don't know anything about their work.

"This is a true statement. We require a credit card number for all new customers to hold your appointment. We explain to each new customer that we will not charge the card unless you authorize us to do so. The customer has the option to pay by cash, check or credit card when the work is complete. After the work is complete we will shred the credit card information for security purposes."

The technician arrived when he was supposed to, did his work methodically and professionally, and answered my questions and concerns. He inspected and serviced the A/C coils, the outside compressor, and the condensate pump. The price is reasonable and includes a second inspection in the fall. I was scheduled about a week after I called - good response time, considering the time of the year, and that it was not an emergency.

Everything went super and both were very courteous and knowledgeable. Ryan was following up a furnace service when the additional parts were ordered, and also serviced my AC unit.. Matt did the Navien service and also did a super job. I do have an on-going error that shuts down the water heater but just like a watched pot we couldn't make it happen. Ironically not more than 15 minutes after they left my wife started a load of wash, and there came the error. Sharon has scheduled a Navien guy to return Thursday.

I have had them do several services and repairs and have always been reliable. On one large repair, the work was completed in a timely manner, although they did forget the service so, which is why they came out, so I did have to have them come back.

Kyle showed up when anticipated, quickly evaluated what needed to be done, searched for a replacement part(s) with the RJ Groner Team, expedited their delivery (next day), and replaced / tested all necessary parts to get our unit back up and running (despite a nest of bees nearby). We don't normally have heat waves in PA, but we were in the middle of several mid-80 degree temperature days, so having our A/C up & running was of paramount importance to us! Kyle made it happen! And I might add, on a unit that RJ Groner didn't install!

Work was done on time and very professionally. They took the time to explain what they were doing and were receptive to my suggestions. For example, I asked that an outside electrical line be installed in a different location, that was less visible and without any discussion did what I asked. The operation and maintenance were clearly explained to me. The units were tested and worked flawlessly. The installation was done ahead of schedule and they vacuumed and took away all packing materials. The units are whisper quiet, both inside and outside They work very well. I am a very satisfied customer

Outstanding thought process that seems to have led John to resolve an almost 2 year intermittent problem that everyone had missed. Nancy, the office manager has always been professional and responsive, as have all of the other office staff and technicians. Plus they always cover their shoes and leave our house in immaculate condition.

"We installed the unit 6/19/2009. The total cost was $4850.00, not $100,000. In June 2011 we found the system was low on refrigerant while performing maintenance on the system. The customer was only charged for the refrigerant $156 and was not charged labor. During winter 2011 maintenance we found the control board was stuck closed and replaced the part under warranty. The customer was charged $198 for the labor which is not covered under warranty after the first year. A week later the customer called into emergency service for no heat. Our technician went out the same day, hit the reset and the system was working fine. We did not charge the customer for the after hours emergency call. The customer called two days later for no heat again. We sent another technician out who found a clogged oil line. After clearing line he found the solenoid coil needed to be replaced. We scheduled to replace it on 11/2/2011 but the customer cancelled the call. We have not heard from this customer in almost four years. The last contact was 11/2/2011. The total repair cost to the customer was $354.00."

"We found that the ductwork was a poor design for proper air flow on both floors. The customer asked what the options were and we quoted her for an additional thermostat, or to redesign ductwork or replacement with a new system. The only cost to the customer was the $95.00 diagnostic fee, not $8000.00 and we did not even receive the $95 from her as we were given an invalid credit card number. I tried calling the customer numerous times since February to receive payment but my calls are not returned."

It didn't go well. I joined Angie's List to find a recommended plumber who could test my water, make treatment recommendations, and do the work.

I contacted RJ Groner via Angie's email for the company explaining my situation on January 16. The company was punctual in getting back to me advising I call and schedule to have a plumber test my water for $95. I spent the next two days calling a wrong number that the company gave me to contact them. (They did later apologize.)

The plumber came out on January 29 to test the water. I have never seen someone test water without running the water for a bit. He took the first water out of the tap. It only took a few minutes. He left telling me someone would contact me with recommendations.

Now, it is 19 days later, and I have still not heard from anyone at RJ Groner. In the meantime, I have had another plumber in to test my water. (He ran the water a few minutes to get an accurate sample.) He has made recommendations, and I have scheduled the work. I won't be using RJ Groner.

I guess I chose RJ Groner because of their good recommendations and I hear their radio commercials all the time. I plan to install a Generac Generator at some point in the future. RJ Groner is always talking about their Generac reputation in their commercials, so I figured I would give them a try with the water issue first. Needless to say, they won't be installing my Generac either.

I heard back from Nancy at RJ Groner. She said they mailed a recommendation on January 29th. I never received it. I only wish they had followed up with a phone call soon afterwards. Since I have decided to go with another company, and because of the communications problem, they have decided to waive the $95 water testing fee. I thought that was the decent and nice thing to do and thanked them. I revised my letter rating and now consider this matter closed.

[member name removed] stated that he did not receive this and contacted another company before letting us know he did not receive anything from us. He did not want to cancel the arrangement he made with the other company and we respect that decision. He was not charged for anything by our company for the diagnostic work."

We have a contract with them. They come twice a year. If we have any problems, we get priority service and they will come within 12 hours. I do not mind paying a little more. They are on time. They are professional. They do what they say they are going to do.
