"Thank you for the kind words and great review! So happy that we were able to help you and your husband with our version of a "Christmas miracle!" Merry Christmas and blessings to your family in the New Year from all of us at Pure Sight & Sound!"
He took my money and ran and cashed my check which I foolishly paid for. It was unbelievable that he was a professional and had to tell me to refer to my tv manual to answer my questions!
In hindsight, he claims he needed two guys to do the job, his worker did most everything while he basically stood there, he even tied some wires with a bread tie from my own kitchen and jammed the tv wire into the mount and split the casing!... I had another guy come and complete the job by himself in a third of the cost (NEXTRONIC SYSTEMS RULES!)
This Ed Kmetz guy is a scam artist! I cant believe he had the audacity to take my full money and run when he completed nothing, I dont know how he has a conscience... just goes to show someone with a fancy website and business cards doesnt always know whats going on! biggest waste of 1300 dollars in my life!!!!!
"First, my apologies to the client. When I saw this review just now (my first time to take a look at Angie’s List ever), I immediately tried to call the client but their number has been disconnected. In 9 years of business ownership and dozens and dozens of happy clients / reviews on all sizes of jobs, we have never received a review anything remotely like this. It is so hard to know how to respond. This job (particularly installing the one very large TV, a 2-man job) a few months ago was a difficult job to be sure, with limited access to the areas we needed to reach to locate and fish within the walls & hide the wiring for the TV’s. The total price included TV mounts, hardware, HDMI, cabling, and labor, and we did successfully install the difficult big TV and one easy one. Because of the client’s sensitivity to the overall cost, and seeing what was involved, we offered time-saving suggestions during the job, such as using paintable WireMold to cover the wires without taking the time to hide them behind the wall, which would’ve been a huge time saver. The client did instead want all the wires hidden, so we did that. Yes, it did take a long time to accomplish compared to other jobs we’ve done. Often we can mount a TV in an hour or two, other times like this one it takes much longer, and there’s no way to know until you really get into it and see what you have to deal with inside the walls. I will thank the client for one change I’m making in our business practices… effective immediately, I will no longer offer an opinion on how much time a job might take without actually traveling to see what’s involved first. At the time, because I had misjudged the time the job might take during the initial phone call compared to the time it actually did, and because of the client’s wish to keep the cost down, we did not charge 2 hrs. travel time and in fact did not even charge for the full time we were onsite. The cost for all the hardware & cabling was comparable to or less than Best Buy pricing. The client seemed like a very nice person, I just wish she would’ve said something while we were there, so we could have had a chance to make everything right, right then. As far as the personal attack on me in her post, that certainly stung. However, at least she was able to refer directly to me the business owner, by name, since we are a local business and I am on nearly every job. To the client… again, I tried to call you. If you see this and are willing to give me a call at 570-992-2992, I would like to apologize in person. We obviously blew this job in your eyes, and I’d like to make it right if we can. To anyone else reading the post and reply, I encourage you to Google us, ask your friends & neighbors about us…. odds are good that someone you know, knows us, and I am confident that they will speak highly of us as a company and me personally."
