JFE Residential Construction

Description of Work: Received an estimate for a deck extension. A contract was written. Before I could even sign the contract the estimate changed an additional $300. Given estimate, gave Joe a check for the materials, work started. Halfway into the deck being completed Joe asked for more money, stating that he made an error and needed an additional $250. Gave him another check. I started to become leery of his requests for more money, but I wanted the job finished. Upon completion of the original deck he had not adhered to the contract. The money I gave him wasn’t used to purchase the additional wood necessary because he utilized wood from old deck demolition and also lumber I had lying around. He didn't sink the deck posts as stated on the contract, even after requesting more money. After completing original deck work he then stopped by my house and said that he would put new steps on for an additional $125. Gave him a check and he has not returned to complete the work, even though the check was cashed within 2 hours. Contacted several times, given a date to complete work, cancels or just doesn't show up. Also have two friends from work using him for projects with the same results as mine, take money, no show. This was a 2 day job and I have been dealing with this for three weeks now.
