Never came. 5 calls! On the delivery list never came! Not on list! Put on list! Not coming! Not on list! On list since dec 15. On recurring deliveries! Wanted to talk to supervisor. Hung up on. Still no propane for heating and oven. Read about 20/30 complaints about no delivery . Taking plenty of $. Deposits and auto payments

The process of coordinating between furnace installer went very smooth

We bought a house in Hemlock Farms in October and have been trying to get gas delivered from Amerigas ever since. We were told because it was a new account (since it changed owners) they had to inspect. They inspected on Nov 13 and it passed. That very day we ordered gas. They said "in two weeks" and we said "OK sure." Two weeks pass, no gas. Ever since then we have been constantly calling, using the web site, emailing, etc, -- over 7 phone calls and 6 emails and still they will not deliver gas. They keep saying it's scheduled. They said it'll be "two weeks." After being told "two weeks" three times I said NO. We're using our gas and it's going down. So I reached a woman at corporate named Candy, and she said we'd get a delivery on Dec 18, and sorry for the issue and they're investigating what happened. Well it's Dec 23 now. Do you think we got gas for Christmas? Nope. So it's been nearly two months and we're unable to get gas delivered.
Avoid at literally ANY cost. Delivering gas is literally the ONLY thing Amerigas offers as a service -- and they can't even do that.

Amerigas is a good company. But they have two policies I don't like. First, if they own your tank, you will pay much more than the market rate for propane. Second, if you are a renter, they will charge you a $500 deposit which they hold forever--or until you discontinue the service. I can see a one or two year deposit to establish a payment record (without interest). After that, this policy is exploitative.

DO NOT USE THEM

I haven't had any issues with them.  They always seem to be here when it's needed.  There is always propane in the tank.  They deal with the scheduling.  I just pay them to keep the tank full.  I will continue to use them in the future.
