I had a very bad problem with my car. My whole bottom was falling out. It was going to be extremely expensive. However, I have a step son that's a mechanic, and works for a big car company. I had it towed to him because he only charges me for parts. Dave told me not to drive it. I left the car on their lot and had to call a towing truck to get it towed. They have been very good.
They charged me very little for the diagnosis.
"I am shocked at this review as you have NOT been in for service since 12/1/2014. It is very hard for us to take this seriously as if you had any issue with the work that had been done over 2 years ago you should have brought it to our attention then as we back everything with a industry leading 3 year/36,000 mile Nationwide warranty. As far as looking for problems on a Inspection, that is what the annual inspection requires and we adhere to that policy without any exception. I have brought this review to the attention of those in charge at Angie's List as you stated you had work completed on 1/16/2017 and you were not in for any work since the above mentioned date of 12/1/2014. I have also tried to reach out to you via phone call with no success to find out why you would feel the need to come on here now and degrade our business, one which we take great pride in our ability to communicate with our customers. I look forward to your response."
No pressure was done they exp and told to think about it .
I feel very confident about what was done and the car is working good .
"Dear [Member name removed], Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you and are here to help you in the future should you need any answers to vehicle service questions. Again, thank you! Sincerely, Scott and Christa Browne - Owners Dave's Automotive LLC"
From the moment I called, they were professional, honest and very helpful. I was shocked to hear there was no charge to me for a 45 point inspection and was sure they would find something that would cost me $150. Nope, they did the inspection, gave me fantastic feedback and then said $0.
I couldn't believe it. To me this speaks volumes toward their integrity. Think about it, how many mechanics shops would use their labor force and spend an hour inspecting (thoroughly) your vehicle and not even charge you time spent inspecting. This means they only feel obligated to charge if something is truly wrong with your car....WOW.
I love this place and can sit here saying good things all day!!
Use this place for every car need, trust me, ive dealt with all the scumbags. Toyota dealer on Hecktown road was going to charge me $55-$100+ for same inspection service and I bought a minivan from that place.
"We at Dave's Automotive would like to take the time to respond to the above review. We truly appreciate your purchase of an oil change service and are sorry to hear that your vehicle which came into the shop with over 182,000 miles on it had recommended work. These items which included a blown strut and a leaking power steering rack, are both items that indeed need attention as shown to you while in our waiting area with pictures that we take with tablets right in our bays. This provides you with an understanding of what condition your car is in while allowing us to substantiate the estimate given. The photos are then stored with your vehicle information on our computer. With regards to the light bulb replacement and windshield wiper repair, a quarter hour of labor was charged for both repairs as this did take our technician time to do the work you requested. The technician adjusted the wiper to get it to properly park. If you are still having a problem with the wipers we would be happy to take a second look at them at no charge to you. If you would like the above mentioned pictures sent to you or the person that gave you a second opinion we would be happy to send them. Sincerely, The Service Team at Dave's Automotive"
