Rob Siegenthaler was the plumbing sub-contractor when our house was built 10 years ago. Recently we started having problems with one of our toilets not flushing properly. I consider myself somewhat of a handyman around the house so I spent half a day trying to figure out what could be wrong, including pulling the comode off the floor and running a snake into every nook and cranny, including the drain pipe. I was stumped. I called a regular plumber and he spent an hour trying to figure it out. He was stumped too (fortunantly he didn't charge anything since he didn't fix it). So I called the contractor who built our house and asked him who the plumber was who installed all our plumbing and got Rob's name. I called and left a message yesterday on his voice mail. This morning (Saturday) he called me. I explained the problem and I asked him if he did service calls (he doesn't have a Yellow Page listing and doesn't advertise - I thought he might only do new construction subcontracting). He said he does service calls and could come over in half an hour. It only took him 5 minutes to notice that something was moving around inside the small flush hole at the bottom of the toilet bowl and was partially blocking it. 5 minutes after that he had removed it with needle nose pliers. That fixed the problem (10 minutes total). Turns out it was 2 small plastic disks that lock the flapper float in place on the flush chain. Don't know how or why they came off that chain, but they ended up blocking that flush hole. This guy knows his stuff. He is friendly, polite, professional, cleans up after himself. I recommend him heartily.
Description of Work: Fixed problem with a toilet not flushing properly (water just circulated around the bowl and didn't flush completely).
