These guys are professionals! Nobody likes to drop this kind of money on fixing a transmission but sometimes it has to be done. They looked at the car and then went over all the options with me in great detail. I think we were on the phone for 30 to 45 minutes talking about the various options. Once I understood my options and made a selection (to have it rebuilt instead of replaced) the main office person walked me through everything that would be done. He even offered to let me hang out in the garage while the work was done, at a safe distance of course. When I went to pick up the car the man brought me into the garage and showed me the parts that were replaced (few had to be) as well as what a new one looks like so I could clearly understand the level of wear and damage on my parts. When the work was done the gentleman asked me to bring the car back a week later. They put it up on the lift and checked the seals and various other items. I felt that the job was thorough and have no doubt that if I need to avail myself of the warranty I got that they would resolve anything that needs to be done. I would absolutely go back to these guys for transmission or other auto issues.

They gave us a second diagnosis and told us that we would not need to replace it. They fixed the issue and saved us a lot of money, as it is very expensive to replace.

I was having some indication of trouble when my Subaru Forester was grabbing on sharp turns. I went to a Subaru dealer who checked it out and said it pretty much needed some major work that would cost about $2500. I started to shop around to find a place nearby and called ProTrans on a Saturday. I didn't know they were actually closed but the manager was on call. He talked to me for a least a half hour getting an idea of my problem and suggesting some things that he would do first. As it turned out they were able to reduce the issue so it not a problem for much less than the dealer price. I was very satisfied. Work was done within the day as promised.
