This office is excellent. My cat had to stay the night, and I was very worried, so I called multiple times to check in on him, and every time I spoke to someone who was friendly, helpful, and who was able to answer all my questions. The office was clean and they handled the animals with extra care. They gave me a good price estimate the first time I called, and gave me all the details about the cost of medications, extra overnight stays, everything. They even called three days later to check in and see how he was recovering. I would highly recommend their office.
Update - We recently moved, and right after the move my cat was very sick for a couple of days. He couldn't keep his food down - he'd throw up almost immediately after eating. Even though we are now almost 3 hours away from Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital, I called them because I hadn't gotten set up with a new vet in our area yet (we had been in the new house for only two days). They were great - very responsive, very concerned, I talked directly to one of the veterinarians who asked lots of questions and gave me several recommendations, even though I explained that I had moved and could not bring him back to their office. One of the assistants even offered to look up emergency veterinarians near our new house. Wonderful people! (Kitty is fine. it ended up being The Queen Mother of All Hairballs, and immediately after coughing the nasty thing up, he went back to my normal hungry kitty).

Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital You can expect them to do a good job. They do what you want. The veterinarian is there for you if you need him. I have them do the puppy cut, same length all over for the most part. Definitely my poodle she gets the same length. They try to give her more of a poodle cut which I call it a helmet cut. They look absolutely ridiculous. So I discourage them from doing it. I request the shampoo that doesn't smell as strong that isn't very fragrant. They are most of the time receptive. occasionally they forget the the poodle comes back with helmet hair. I see Dr. Eddy and he is fabulous. She is also direct and straight forward, she tells you exactly what she thinks and will give you specific recommendations. I appreciate that. She eliminates a lot of the guess work, should I do this, should I do that. How serious is it? She is much more specific than other veterinarians. My pets do really well, one other thing that I really like about Dr. Eddy is that she'll take a few extra moments out of her day to call you and update you rather than text you. And even if I am there for something else and she gets the sight of me or my dog who is a high maintenance dog with a lot of health issues, she will come by and take a look and she will say how are those eyes doing, let me take a look. So I feel she takes a few extra steps to make sure the dogs are well taken care of and I appreciate that extra.

The grooming services at Mt. Nittany Vet. are the best I’ve ever experienced. When we take her for her grooming appointment, the groomers come out to greet her, and our dog jumps for joy to see them. My dog comes back perfectly groomed (better than our dogs have looked from other groomers over the years) and happy. Our dog is not ready to bolt for the door when I pick her up. She is happy with her groomers, which tells me they are very thoughtful when grooming.
The vets here are very considerate and go the second mile when working with your pet. From ordinary care to teeth cleaning and life-concerning care, they are the best. When a cancer scare arose, they were the first to discover it, and took care of everything, keeping costs as low as was reasonably possible. When other, more long-term issues arose (the anxiety attacks) they were thoughtful enough to inquire with other vets, without my having asked, to see what possible causes and treatments existed. They are first rate as a veterinary group.

I first went to this vet with a voucher from the PAWs shelter to get a stray cat spayed. I really liked the vet, and the prices were less than my current vet. After I had the cat for a few weeks she started to have a milky look to one of her eyes and was running a fever. The doctor immediately looked and acted concerned. They did some blood tests. The doctor said it was one of two viruses. If it were the one virus, it had taken three cats in the last three months and was typically fatal, the other would be toxoplasmosis. The doctor spent a good deal of time with me explaining the various eye drops and medications I needed to give the cat. She explained the side effects (one medicine made the cat foam at the mouth, and would have been quite alarming if she had not warned me that it could be a side effect in some cats), she explained to me why it was crucial to give the cat the eye drops twice a day each day no matter how difficult and gave me some ideas on how to make the situation less stressful for our cat. We made an appointment to come back in two weeks. The vet called the same day to give me blood test results and to check on how we were doing. By the next visit the one eye had cleared, but the other eye had gotten the same milky look. She told me she was about 80 percent sure we would have a good outcome and it would turn out to be toxoplasmosis. By four weeks our cat was in great shape - although really mad at me for a month of eye drops twice a day.
I have now moved my dog to this vet as well.

They are really nice there, they treat the animals really nicely, they are always on time and they take really good care of them when they get fixed or whatever. They are just really nice, I like them because they are nice to my cat.
