I really can't blame Jim. The floor turned out terrible, though, so I guess the buck stops there. Within 6 months, the floor peeled and "de-laminated" I initially thought (and a piece of me still thinks) he didn't let the floor dry enough after the final washing.
TO HIS CREDIT: he came back and stripped the entire area and re-did the whole floor, after talking with a concrete specialist. He did it for free, which I expected, but he didn't blink an eye. The floor is peeling again, so I am scraping and spot treating it as it comes up.
So, I truly do not know if it was his work, the product or the concrete what was the problem.
