We have been taking our dogs to this vet since we moved to the area 2 years ago. I've always had a weird feeling about this vet (just an overall feeling from experience), but we kept going because it's right down the street (convenient). They are always friendly and can generally fit you in for an appointment when you need. Expect to wait about 15-20 minutes (at least) after your scheduled appointment time to see the vet. She is friendly and knows what she is talking about. She let's you know what she's doing and why she's doing it. Great vet! Price is extremely high, which is unfortunate. Expect to pay a $60 fee per animal during your visit. Yes, even if you have 2 dogs for one visit, you pay the same fee per dog. In past experiences, I've attempted 3+ times to have my pet's folders transferred to another vet and they always and quot;faxed themand quot;, but the files never seemed to arrive. Since we are moving, we won't be using them again, but we wouldn't be going back to them if we were staying in the area.

(He was by her estimate a 10 year old Maine C*** but they had him listed as a 2 year old med hair - A big error considering she gave him a powerful steriod shot) The vet was rushed but assured me the shot would not have a bad affect but told me to call back the next day and let her know how he was. I tried all day and left a message but it was never returned. On Mon, I had to make an appointment to have him put to sleep. It broke my heart and I hated calling them to do it but he was suffering and I had no where else to go, I do now. We're using the Haverford Animal Hospital,

Very gentle and soothing to cat even though the cleaning of the cat bite on his ear was painful.

Dr. Pottynski is friendly and professional. Her recommendations/prescriptions have been accurate in resolving our pets' problems. When an issue hasn't been resolved with a first course of medication, calling in to get a refill is easy.
Depending on the day, the desk staff have been friendly or cold, but they have always acted professionally, so we have no complaints.
Pricing for a visit is typical for the area, neither cheap nor expensive.
Our only complaint is that we consistently wait 20-40 minutes after our appointment time for the vet to see us. Usually this time is spent waiting in an individual room, but it still is stressful for both animal and owner.

Dr. Pottynski examined my dog. Explained what she was doing, why, and what was going on with the animal. In this case my dog tore a back knee ligament probably just wear and tear due to age and size. Surgery was one possible treatment. She is conservative about surgery and recommended aspirin and movement limitations (confinement) for a month as a first option. She gave the pros and cons of that approach and suggested referrals if I chose to go with surgery or the non surgery plan wasn't successful.
I like her approach and the amount of information she provides I have several animals and she had seen them all for routine exams, shots, and tick disease treatment. She does not cut corners but tries to keep costs as economical as possible.
The one big problem is that every time I've gone there for an appointment I've had to wait at least 45 minutes to an hour before seeing the Vet. When you are just waiting and have an anxious pet, too, this feels like an eternity.

I used to take my dogs to another veterinarian. They were very expensive. My daughter’s dog was hit by a car and Springfield Animal Hospital handled the burial. They have a stay in. They give the dogs a good home and they use them as a transfusion dog. When my daughter got pregnant and couldn't afford to pay, they told her you have paid enough and no need to pay. That's when I decided to go to them.

They do a great job, they are good people, good office. They are on time and do great work in helping my cats stay alive and healthy. Their prices are very reasonable. I would recommend them to others for most all animals. They call and follow up after they service your animal.

The doctors here are all very good. They are obviously great in terms of diagnostic work. My cat's problem cleared up very quickly. The care given to her was very good. They were very gentle with her and informative to me as a pet owner. I like for vets to answer my questions if I have any and to be open to me as a pet owner. This place was able to meet my expectation levels fully and I would gladly return to them for any problems that either of my cats obtain in the future.

I HAVE TAKEN BOTH OF MY DOGS TO THE SPRINGFIELD ANIMAL HOSPITAL. THEY ARE THOROUGH IN THEIR EXAMINATION OF MY DOG. THEIR SYSTEM TO FOLLOW UP WITH ME ON THINGS IS GOOD. THEY TREAT MY DOGS WITH KINDNESS.
