R J BEAR ELECTRIC

Installed tape in Jan. 2006. I paid in full at time of service. Because the sensor was supposed to adjust to outside temperature automatically and because I had no way to know if it was working unless there was ice or snow, I trusted it was working. No ice or snow to test it, but electric bill was high Jan thru July--but I didn't know why--after all, it should be high during cold weather, but April? May? Another contractor noticed the heat tape was on, in the summer! I called RJ Bear, who hurried over and turned off the sensor, telling me it was a "bad sensor" and that he'd replace it. He also said that the tape costs "pennies" to run and that the bill was from 2002 (I bought the house in Oct. 2004 ). So now I have a $1000 heat tape that doesn't work at all and that's cost me hundreds in electric bills. I've called RJ Bear many times over the past 5 months and he's never returned my call.

Bob and his team were prompt, efficient, considerate, clean, and cost efficient. It could not have gone better.
