We needed to hire a tile contractor to replace the tile that was removed in our master bath shower due to the replacement of the shower pan liner. The shower floor is somewhat small (33" X 33") and the wall tile to be replaced was about 8". We called several tile contractors who came out to see what needed to be done. Mike was the only contractor that addressed what needed to be done and nothing more. The other tile contractors we talked to told us all the tile in the shower would need to be replaced. Some even told us that for consistency, it would be best to remodel the entire bathroom, which would have been a major project and cost us thousands of dollars. Something we were not looking to do.
After reviewing the job Mike promptly provided us with a written estimate for labor and materials. Since we had been looking at replacement tiles locally, at stores that carry tile and flooring materials, we found something that would more closely match our existing floor tile than what Mike provided for in his estimate. We worked with Mike to see if he could purchase the same and he graciously agreed to adjust his estimate if we wanted to purchase the floor tiles ourselves, which we did.
Mike was prompt is arriving the day we had scheduled for the work to begin and subsequent days. He was conscientious in laying drop cloths in the areas leading up to the bathroom to keep unnecessary dirt off our carpeting, and cleaned up daily when his workday was done.
All total the job took two and a half days. Before he left Mike provided us with instructions for letting the grout set and told us when we would be able to use the shower. We are very pleased with the job Mike did for us, would hire him again, and will definitely recommend him to our family and friends.
