We take pride in helping you operate your pool safely and economically. New pool owners appreciate the time we take to get them through the learning curve. Our line of chemicals includes liquid chlorine in three convenient sizes plus the strongest chlorine powder and tablets available. We also stock bromine and specialty items such as Nature 2, “The Frog”, Baquacil, and Natural Chemistry. Also, we offer all the water balancers, salt for chlorine generators and the latest stain-removal and algae preventing products. We bought our house late last summer and inherited the prior owner's pool company.  It soon became apparent that there was a small leak but the service folks couldn't figure out where.  Eventually, they diagnosed a leak at the skimmers and in the lines and proposed a fix for around $7000+.  The work was supposed to happen this spring before opening.  For a complicated set of reasons, we lost faith in that company, but by that time pool-opening season was upon us and every pool company we called was too busy to take us on.
Aquavita did.  They ended up suggesting that they caulk around the skimmers and replace the filter valve.  That, they said, would solve the problem, and for under $1000.  They were right: no more leak.  They also worked hard to get us open on a reasonable schedule.  They've been servicing the pool weekly since then.  It's been good, reliable service for what seems to be a reasonable price.

The experience I had dealing with Aquavita Pools was terrible from start to end.  We purchased a home with a pool knowing nothing about pools and wanted them to open it since they had been dealing with that particular pool for years.  They came to open it and said that the main pump was broken and needed to be replaced.  We have a home warranty which should cover such a repair.  We told them to do nothing until we hear back from the warranty company.  Instead of listening to us, they went ahead an installed a pump.  No knock on the door, no call, nothing.  They trespassed on our property to install a pump that we neither authorized or wanted.  When I called to complain, the manager (owner?) was impolite and suggested the miscommunication was on our end.  She said that they could do nothing about the invoice and chose to lose me as a customer instead of trying to work with us to get a more reasonable solution.

The service was good.  They did a good job, but we had to tell them what to do.  They did things that we had not requested and they did not charge us for the part.  At the end of the summer the pool had algae and they missed an adjustment of the chemicals. They did come when they said they would.

They were very punctual, respectful, and thorough.  We not only buy products from Aquavita, but often call with questions or advice.  They are very receptive.
