Amazing. Ray is a true artist. He has a great attention to detail. We LOVE our floors.

Ray's work starting from the initial meeting for the estimate through him leaving a beautiful finished floor behind was exceptional.
Although Ray's quote was higher than 3 other's I received, I trusted him and believed he would work the job until I was satisfied. I found this to be true, but also realized his own quality standards are higher than my own, which resulted in a floor that has never looked better (and I'm the original owner).
Ray explained the entire process, which included 2.5 painstaking days of sanding, followed by staining/sealing, and two days to apply the 2 coats of finish. I researched the products he used and agreed with his assessment that they are the best in the business (bono industrial finish). He not only explained everything, he advised us on what to look for, how to deal with our dog during and after the process, and how best to care for the floor afterword to keep it looking nice. A true professional and craftsman, and on top of it all a genuinely good person who loves what he does and takes pride in his work. The finished product was well worth every penny.

This is my second glowing report on Ray in two months. My floors were completed on October 11th. After the floors were refinished, I had new stair rails installed. The rails were unfinished, but I figured I could handle those myself. Well, I probably should have hired someone to finish the rails as well. After putting 5 coats (primer, stain and top coat) on my new rails, I went to pull off the painters tape that I had laid down (for too long) to protect my newly refinished steps. Some of the stain I had used, had gotten around the painters tape and left marks on the steps. Ray responded to my emailed concern within an hour after I sent it and stopped by my house that evening. He gave me three options to fix my steps and covered the risks with each one. I was not charged for this follow-up visit. After taking his advice, my newly refinished steps remain unscathed. I was very impressed with his promptness, considering he completed my floors a month and a half ago. If he hadn't come as promptly as he did, I probably would not have been able to undo the harm I did.

It went beautifully. My floors were pretty awful to begin with. I wasn't sure they were salvageable. There were patches, pee stains, and some nasty red glue that was used to hold the carpet in place in some areas. If Ray had told me he replaced the floors completely, I would have believed him. They are beautiful, and I have already referred him to someone else. I had seen an example of his work in my sister's neighbors house, and they sold me on him. Not only is he a great floor refinisher, he's a great human being. He graciously tolerated my neighbor's checking on his progress. If I refinish any more floors in my house, I'll be calling him.

Ray, the owner, completely knocked it out of the park. His quote was exceptionally competitive, the work was finished ahead of schedule and his meticulousness is evident in the overall outcome of the job. The 90 year old floors honestly look brand new, I couldn't be happier.

This job went well. Ray explained all the steps involved and started promptly with sanding and refinishing the living room floor. Job was started and completed on time. Literally no dust during the sanding, but Ray covered the built-in bookcase before he started so my figurines and pictures wouldn't get dusty. After sanding was complete, Ray tried a couple of colors on the floor so I could make the proper selection. Floor was stained and finished and turned out beautifully. I especially liked that the finish he used (bona-kemi) was a "green" product. Very pleased with the job. Price was comparable to other estimates I received. Only complaint was that he started a little later than originally stated, but he called to let me know he would be a little late.

Love the finish result. Ray 'fixed' a refinish job that I had had done just six months ago and it turned out better than I expected! He is very professional and his work is excellent. There was absolutely no dust in my house after he was done sanding the floors. He came when he said he would and finished when he said the job would be completed. The price was great too!

I was going to refinish hardwoods ourselves (have experience) for current house flip. Had a week off due to ski trip Saw his van at Best Buy and decided to see what the cost would be. The floors were in "B" shape with stains in the master/ Dining room - Short of replacing the wood we knew it would show. Ray came out measured and understood exactly what we needed and were looking for. Our floors turned out BETTER than I could have completed or imagined. His work is top notch - straight shooter - and I will use and recommend him from here on out with my projects or to friends and family.
