We were without AC on the hottest stretch of summer. Called Steve and made an appt for him to check out our system and give an estimate. He arrived early and checked out why the system was not working and recommended a new motor. He and his assistant were clean, efficient and had the system up and running in a few hours. He also gave us good advice to check the system on our own to spot future problems.

Steve Schneider and his crew recently installed our new central air system. The job was done professionally and no mess in the house or yard. It was completed on time and we are very happy with the price and quality of the work done. This is the second time we have used them. They installed a new heating system for us approximately 2 years ago. We have had NO issues with the heating system and we don't expect any with the new AC system. We highly recommend Schneider's Heating and Air Condtioning Inc.

Steve is incredibly knoweledgable and profressional. My AC unit broke down at the end of last summer, and after a quote from my usual provider (Walton), I wanted a 2nd opinion. After searching around I got in contact with Steve and within 5 minutes, I knew he was my guy. Without even visiting my house, his knowledge on Heating/Cooling astounded and impressed me (particularly on my home's equipment), and this was just from the phone call! After a visit to proper review the units, he confirmed the problem, offered a solution, and even offered a recommendation to improve my home's heating/cooling flow. Steve and his team completed this work last month (1 quick measuring visit for new duct work, 1 half day install), and I couldnt be happier. Price was fair and the work was high quality and professional. I will be relying on Steve from now on to monitor/service my AC units!

Steve was terrific! This was our second time using his services and he was prompt in returning our call, extremely professional and thoughtful. He took the time to explain what was happening with the unit. Make recommendations on how to get it operational again and do so in a way that would help keep the heater functional for a few more years before needing to replace. He is extremely knowledgable and is always learning more that he is happy to share with his customers. I would recommend Schneider Heating to anyone!

Dave and his team performed way above my expectations.  I'm a very detailed, meticulous home owner and it was great to see someone take so much pride in their work. They installed the system as they would in their own home, including many extras that contractors normally ignore. They built a new frame for the furnace, changed the orientation, redid all the electrical wiring, gas lines, and ventilation to code, etc.  In all honesty it could not have gone better.  They were prompt, professional, and obviously experts in their craft. If you want it done right call Dave Schneider and his team, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.

The problem hasn't come back to we are very happy with what Steve did for us, at no cost which was an extremely pleasant surprise.  I'd highly recommend him.

We met with several vendors and got estimates from each. After Steve came out, he sat down with us and showed us what options we had and what the pros and cons of each were - something none of the other vendors did. In addition, Steve drew out a diagram of what the finished product would look like in our basement as well as showed us some pictures of similar designs from other projects. Steve was the primary installation person on site. Unlike the other vendors we spoke to who were sales people for the companies and did not necessarily have a grasp of everything we were asking. Steve pointed out that the other designs we had been looking at were not installed properly and the air was being blown in on one side of the heating/cooling unit, not from the top to make the most efficient use of the equipment. This was worked into the design that he came up with for us. Steve was meticulous in his design to make sure that every aspect was up to code and would not cause us any future headaches. All of this was reflected in the work contract that he drew up for us. Steve also made us aware of tax breaks that we would qualify for also. The only grade below an "A" that we gave Steve was for price. While he was a little on the high side for his quote, we believe that his service is worth every penny. The project, start to finish, took about a week. Steve kept us up to date along the way about his progress and when he was done we could not tell he had been there except for the shiny new HVAC unit left behind. Steve was always a phone call away with any questions that we had and he even came out about a month later when we asked if he could come by and show our parents how to use the new system. We could not be happier with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone else.

Steve designed new zoned hot water piping system to replace system that was installed.  The system had been built up over a number of years and had repeated problems with leaking joints and flooding in the expansion tank.  The system design also made maintenance very difficult.  The boiler also had to be remounted as it had slipped off the original mounting and the electrical components were sloppy, disorganized, and had several problems.  All of this was essentially removed and replaced with a new design.  Steve assembled most of the components in his shop and then brought to the house and installed over the course of two days.  The installation went smoothly and looks very neat and professional.  So far, the system works well and is providing even heat throughout the house.  I would definitely recommend Scheider's

In a word - outstanding. All contractors should be this passionate about their work. Mr. Schneider is knowledgable, thoughtful and caring. He carefully explained our options and from there it was easy to make an informed decision. Once he and his assistant began our project, their attention to detail was obvious, ensuring the floors and walls were more than adequately covered and protected. The work area was neat and organized every day, and as clean at the finish as at was at the start. In between, they did an amazing job of removing and then installing a custom designed system, with the proper fit and layout. The design and layout of the new system (new ductwork, more logical locations, more logical fittings, better quality components) is night and day in comparison to the old system. It moves a lot more heat and air but its a lot quieter and more efficient. The new system and the layout and design of the completed project are better in every way. Even outdoors, with the compressors - everything looks solid and built to last. The cables and hoses connected to the basement system are well finished, the seals are the best I've ever seen done by a contractor on any house I've ever lived in. 
Overall, we are incredibly happy with the service and system provided by Mr Schneider. He is highly recommended.

I was referred by a family friend who had this company install a new cooling system 10 years prior to my initial contact with the company.  The friend indicated that they were professional and did quality work.  Also, they did the appropriate follow-up for maintenance of the system.  After initial contact the meeting was promptly arranged, the company representative performed a thorough inspection of the house.  The company representative met with me for 2 hours to ensure that I understood how he was proposing to perform the work.  After our initial meeting he promptly provided a detailed proposal inclusive of technical aspects and pricing.  Questions and concerns were addressed in a professional and prompt manner.  They arrived on time every work day even with the challenge of the snow and ensured that they did not track snow or dirt into the house.  They cleaned up their work area everyday and made the installation a pleasant experience.  We are really enjoying the central air conditioning.  A dream come true!!

Very good experience.   Dave spent time thoroughly diagnosing the problem and then explaining it to us, as well as, what needed to be done to fix it.   The repairs were done in an expeditious and professional manner.   I was afraid we would need a whole new system, but Schneider's took the time to fix rather than replace.   The cost of $500.00 included parts and service - much less expensive than a total replacement.

It went well. They got the job done. They explained what was wrong pretty thoroughly and was pretty accurate with what their explanation was. They also recharged the gas. Their pricing was reasonable.

Steven came to our rescue on an emergency No Heat Call. Each time we use Schneiders the experience is excellent. They arrive on time, are clean and respectful of our home. Schneiders has Worked on our heating system several times and we are extremely satisfied with all aspects of the service we receive. Steven is extremely knowledgeable and will answer you honestly and directly on any issue or product you inquire about. Schneiders also installed our AC unit. The sheet metal work was impeccable and the installlation flawless. I recommend Steven Schneider & Schneiders HVAC to all.

Steven did a good job.  He asked me to send a few pictures the day before so he could be ready to service my particular system.  He showed up on time and determined that there was an electrical problem and fixed it on the spot without installing any additional equipment.  Steven was also very helpful in explaining how certain parts of the system work which will be useful in the future.  I would definitely recommend him.

The experience was positive. He was very knowledgeable. He was able to give us advice. We had a new system put in and were having problems with it, so we went to him to help us. We were unhappy with the people that put it in. Steve really just gave us advice essentially. He kind of broke everything down and told us what we needed to do. He is expensive.

Steve did everything that he said he was going to do.  I left a key and he worked mostly in the attic with his assistant.  If my wife wasn't home during the day a few times, we would have never even known that he was there.  Decisions that needed to be made by a pro, he made.  3 weeks or so later, the job was done.  Final product looks great and works great.
One item that I will bring up is overall job cost.  While we probably could have gone with a company at a lower price, would that have been necessarily cheaper?  The system that Steve replaced was relatively new (5yrs), but had a freon leak that multiple companies could not find.  So the reality is that the 8-10k previous install was the more expensive job since it was non functional.  Bottom line is that with a job like this, it is only expensive if it doesn't work.
Steve is a pro. If there is ever a problem, he lives down the street and he is not that old!  As long as you have the system, he is going to be around.  He is what you would envision when it comes to a contractor that services this area.
I see no reason to entertain the idea of using any other contractor in the HVAC field.

Steve is very punctual, exacting, and precise.  Job went as planned and it works perfectly. Only problem with the job is the price which I feel was a bit high. But, I guess you get want you pay for....

Steve Schneider did an outstanding job on delivering what he promised. This was a major job and he completed it on time. He does quality work. I received 2 other bids that were cheaper than Steves', however, I have used Steve in the past and he has never disappointed me. When the project was completed, Steve and his crew left the house cleaner than when they started the project. Steve gave me a walk through at the end job, and answered all my questions and explained in detail what he had done. I would recommend Steve and his company to anyone of my friends and associates.
