"Customer wanted some bathroom work done . I called soon after request and made contact. She described her project as a labor only small project. I tried to set up a free estimate and she stated due to work schedule she couldn't schedule a home estimate and she would send me pics and measurements. As she did. I told her I could give her a rough cost but until I look at job I can't send her a contract. I gave her a cost and she didn't like my cost and didn't hear from her for about 28 days. Then i get a message can you do a small bathroom remodel. I replied yes and to give me a call the next day. The next day I asked her for a material list of things she has to make sure sure they are correct and right amount she responded by "if you read your emails you would know" (what she emailed me was " floating floor and a vanity top). At this point she still wouldnt set up a date for a home site check , over a month going back and fourth I thought this project wasn't going to go smoothly so I told her I decided to decline the work. I never met this women, she never had a contract with me . This was barley an estimate and as a self employed person I have the right to decline any project if I think there will be problems with potential clients. and guess what ... I was right! Like i said in the last email I sent her. Good luck on your project."
"Let me start off by saying I messed up with the vent. This house is a old home and the bathroom alone went through atleast 2 addition projects before the renovation project I did. I checked the outside soffit vent and it was vented so I went over the outside wall in the attic with the vent pipe facing downward towards where the soffits were. Unknowingly the addition that was built closed in the soffit so the pipe was just in the wall. I acknowledge my mistake and vented it through the wall . Hearing about all the issues he had with the siding contractor I was hesitant about touching the siding in the beginning that's why I went to the soffit instead. The picture he has in this review was during the install not the completed work. I would never just leave a exposed pipe coming through the wall. This part I take full fault on and did at the time also. Throughout this project the customer would call or text me at 4am or even as late as midnight. If I didnt respond in 15 minutes he would send another 1 and another 1. It got to the point where his wife suggested I just talk to her because "he likes to intimidate people" . At the end of the day customer has a nice bathroom and it was done correctly. I didnt know he took a picture or noticed the shirt I was wearing (very awkward)but I'm guessing it was a political shirt and he was offended by it. Not enough to not hire me or even say something about it...just kept it in his mind and used it against me later........contract signing was about 6pm on on my way to an outing with wife and friends. I typically dont wear political shirts to work for this reason. Angie's list should start a customer review where contractors can rate the customers.....this could be a great tool."

He went with us to pick hardwood flooring and tile. He recommended a kitchen cabinet distributor and granite dealer. His suggestions worked out very well in the design of the kitchen. He started the kitchen at the beginning of November and promised us that we would have a working kitchen by Thanksgiving and he delivered on this promise.
He arrived promptly each day and kept in tough with us if there was a change in his schedule. He is very conscientious. This is the second time we have had him work on our home. One year ago, he remodeled our bathrooms. We would use him again. We have always been satisfied with his work.
Everything went awesome. The communication is impeccable. Rick is really good at what he does and good businessman. He also communicated with my tenant regarding projects and wasn't creating any unnecessary problems.
I will say that he was very time efficient in getting the work completed and the quality of work performed was top notch. This company was also responsible for completing renovations for a bathroom of mine a few years ago. I will not use any other contractor except for this one, I just cant say enough good about this company and am very pleased. I would highly recommend them for any job no matter how big or small. Thank you Maryland Home solutions for making my remodeling dreams come true.
