He re-keyed the lock to my Pella french door. It did not work properly, and he came back to fix it. He removed the entire lock assembly, took it apart and could not get it together again. After two hours of effort, he asked if he could take it to work on it and return the next day, and I agreed. He did not return and stopped communicating with me after two days. I left many phone and text messages, pointing out that my door was unsecured. I asked him to return the lock, and stated that I would release him from his guarantee, but I never saw him again. I paid Pella $501 to replace the proprietary lock which he had removed. I sent him a letter with copies of my receipts but did not hear back from him. His profile states that he is registered, bonded and insured, but I have not been able to reach him and he has not responded.

A bit expensive but he did a great job replacing our keys and oiling our locks. Also gave us info about the locks we didn’t know as we just moved into this home.

Mr. Kanes was knowledgeable, professional and very courteous. Mr. Kanes spent a great deal of time trying to repair my lock before replacing it. I would definitely recommend him.
