Eric's Moving and Storage

Eric's team did an excellent job with my move.  They arrived a little early and got the job done very professionally and efficiently. We really appreciated how well they wrapped the furniture to prevent damages. This is the 4th time we've used Eric's moving without disappointment.

Chris and his crew were friendly, efficient and went out of their way to help with the move.  They took one of the world's worst activities (moving) and actually made it a pleasurable experience.

We have used Eric's Moving twice over the past 6 years.  Each move was a very positive experience - the first move was tricky, we had to move everything from a large home into storage, then move into a townhouse, and they were amazing throughout the process.  We had the same lead mover on each move (Chris), he's extremely professional, communicative (and incredibly strong).  We also used their pre-pack service, highly recommend.  The team takes direction on the spur of the moment really well, which during any move, there are going to be stressors, these guys make it easier with their can-do attitude.  
Note that we didn't price any other movers, as performance and convenience was most important to us, so we're not sure where they are in the range of competitive pricing, but the overall cost for service performed seemed reasonable to us.

Amazing! Three men showed up at 8:30am. They moved everything! I mean every last item! They even vacuumed and rolled up the carpets! Great attitudes! Especially since it was 90 degrees and Very humid! I have NEVER had a moving experience go so smoothly. I did not lift a finger! If you use anyone else, you are stupid! Lol! Best job EVER! Thank you!

The owner (Eric) personally came to our home to give us an estimate for the move which was very accurate. He also was available by phone and email to answer questions I had while we were packing. We packed most items ourselves but had them pack a few difficult pieces such as large artwork, televisions and numerous ceramic planters and pots, which all arrived undamaged. On the day of the move, his employees arrived on time and quickly and professionally loaded all of our things into the trucks (they used 2 for our move). They also emptied out our storage unit that day. During transport, the supervisor, Chris, kept us apprised of their progress and confirmed what time they would arrive at the new house the following morning (we drove up there after they left). At our new home, the unloading was very efficient. I cannot stress enough how impressed we were with the careful way they brought everything into the house and placed it exactly where we wanted it, rugs, furniture, boxes, etc. This included putting an antique desk back together, patiently moving a refrigerator into a tight hallway without damaging the doorway or walls and carrying a LOT of things up 3 stories. The 3 staff who handled the unloading, Chris, Larry and Jeff were really great. Polite, professional, patient and nice. All full-time employees of company, experienced and it was obvious they knew exactly what they were doing. It was a pleasure workings with them. Having them move our items turned out to be the least stressful part of moving 250 miles away! I would very highly recommend Eric's Moving with absolutely no reservations.

Eric answered the phone and scheduled the move for the day and time we requested.  Three movers arrived on time and handled everything carefully and completely.  Excellent service.  We would definitely use them again.

It was beyond the "A" rating - more like A++. These guys and the company are outstanding. Did you ever hear of a company coming in below the estimate? Well, this one did! They were honest, extremely hard working, friendly, helpful, and very talented at creatively piling boxes and furniture into a truck in a way to maximize the space. I am so grateful to them for getting everything into one truck, helping me save thousands of dollars. I paid $2800. The next bid I got was $7,000! They were careful about my treasures. They were funny. They worked non=stop. The owner's son was the foreman of the crew who moved us and he was very professional and conscientious. It was perfect in every way.
The people who are moving in to my old house asked me who I used and when I told them they said, "That's who we've used in the past too! We are using them again!" And so would I!

Best movers I've ever hired!! All the guys were very professional and very polite. They worked hard for 10 hours and made sure everything was in place prior to leaving. No complaints when I asked them to rearrange the furniture in the family room - they wanted to make sure I was happy. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

The movers were not on time but they did call ahead to let me know they would be 15 mins late, which is very appreciated. They worked quickly for the most part, not the fastest I've experience but nothing to complain about. Both gentleman were very friendly and compliant. I was most impressed in their packing skills when I they had to move all my items into storage. I admit that My units we're not big enough but Chris did an excellent job packing it as efficiently as possible.
All in all hiring movers isn't cheap but they had the best rates and I doubt i could have gotten much better service if I went with a more expensive service.

Eric and his crew were fantastic. Eric was always responsive and if he didn't immediately answer the phone, he called me back very quickly. His guys were great! I was nervous about having someone else move my grandmother's china and crystal but not one single piece was broken. I was very pleased.
There were timing issues with my move that had to do with the mortgage bank and title company. At the last minute, Eric rearranged their schedule to accommodate me. I really didn't expect it when I know they are busy and set their schedule weeks ahead of time, but they did. I was so appreciative. It made a very stressful situation much easier to tolerate.
I highly recommend them.

This was a large residential move, that involved emptying a 3-level townhouse and moving into a 4400 square foot detached home. The estimate, performed by Eric, was a bit tricky as we'd previously moved from a much larger home than our townhouse and had put a large number of items in storage. Eric's provided two trucks and a five-man crew who showed up promptly and began work right away. Altogether the moving process was about 12 hours, with the crew taking nearly two hours for actual transit and lunch break. Otherwise they worked continuously and cheerfully. We provided snacks and beverage, but they had brought their own water and were really self sufficient. Care was shown for our belongings, the crew's spirits were high, and they seemed to like what they do. Moving items out of the townhouse required negotiating two winding flights of stairs, but we heard no griping. The move is based on time and materials, and the final price came in higher than estimated by about 20%. But there was no question in our minds that the additional work was well earned. A significant savings: they offer wardrobe carton rentals rather than outright purchases. When the final price was tallied, they knocked off the rental costs as well. We waited over a month before posting this review to give us time to get everything unpacked and settled. We're happy to say there were no surprises. Nothing was broken, nothing was missing, and nothing was damaged beyond a couple of superficial scratches on wooden furniture and a scrape or two on the home's drywall. Considering the size of the move, this is remarkable. We've had much, much worse moves, and none better. These folks are recommended.

The guys at Eric's were incredible. Everyone was professional, they explained everything, were friendly and careful. It was 2 very hot days, moving out of our old house and into our new house and all the guys just smiled through the whole thing. They were pleasant throughout the experience and handled all of our belongings with great care. I would absolutely recommend this company if you are moving. I've heard stories of people moving and things getting ruined or it taking twice as long as was estimated but our experience was nothing short of great and they came in right where we expected with time and cost.

Eric's Moving is a full-service organization. Eric himself came out for the estimate. On moving day, Eric's crew arrived on time and provided professional, competent service. I moved from a 4-bedroom townhouse into a 4-bedroom single family home, and it went very smoothly. His crew worked together very well. They were pleasant, interactive, and extremely knowledgeable about how to move the challenging pieces I have. Their work ethic was tremendous; no breaks, worked straight through from 8:45 til 2:15, and after a short lunch break, continued until 7:45 to finish the job. I constantly heard "We'll take care of that", and "Don't worry, we do this all the time". This left me with a feeling of complete confidence in their abilities. My advice to anyone with an upcoming move: call Eric, book your date, and let them do their job. You will not be sorry.

These guys made what was an incredibly logistically stressful day much, much more manageable. They were punctual, professional and efficient. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Eric's Moving did not respond to my initial phone and e-mail messages. Eric (the owner) answered the phone when I called the following week and I learned he had been on vacation the previous week. Eric came out a couple of days later and prepared the estimate. The 3-man crew arrived shortly after 8:30 AM on the day of our move. In the morning (when they were loading the truck) it was pouring rain. The movers carefully covered everything before loading it into the truck, and they also put furniture pads on the floors so they would not track water/dirt into the house. They moved everything out without scratching a single piece or damaging any walls/floors, and there were some very heavy items and appliances. Upon arrival at the new house, they covered the rugs with plastic and moved everything in without a single scratch or damage to floors/walls. We were especially concerned because we had just purchased new hardwood floors and carpets. The movers were professional and personable throughout the day. Though not the cheapest movers in the area, their ability to move everything without a single scratch or damage to walls/floors was worth the price. This is the second time I have used Eric's Moving and I would highly recommend them.

We could not be happier! These guys were courteous, good-natured, professional and very good at what they do, because they like what they do! They wrapped every piece, either in plastic or pads, packed the truck using every inch of space, treated us with respect and good humor, placed items where we wanted them, negotiated tight spaces like the pros they are, double-checked before leaving that all was as we wanted, where we wanted. We are renting, so we'll probably move in about a year or two, and both my husband and I concluded by the end of the day that we will no-doubt call Eric's when the time comes. HIGHLY recommend!!!

I needed movers to move furniture and boxes from a three story townhouse with narrow stairways to a new home. I got estimates from 3 companies. Eric came to our house for the estimate. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We went with Eric's company for the move based on the price and the good reviews on Angie's list. After we had selected them I also found out that two of my coworkers had used them and had good experiences.
Moving day went smoothly. We had a 3 man team that worked quickly but carefully loading up the truck. We had a few scuffs on the walls from some of the larger pieces but it is typical with the narrow stairs in the townhouse. The entire move took about 6 hours which was less than the estimated time.
Overall, the move went smoothly. I would use them again in the future and recommend them to others.
