Service provider arrived an hour after my call to them. He was courteous and professional; completed job in a timely manner--about an hour. Price was reasonable--less than quote I received over phone from a competitor.

Great, Rick was very responsive and showed up the following day to fix the door.

Excellent experience. Very professional. Didn't try to upsell me on a new garage, but instead repaired and replaced worn garage door springs and cables. Now, everything works again.

great, took care of the problem without incident

So three hours ago I didn't even know I had a problem then bingo the chain popped off of my electric garage door opener. Since it was almost noon on a Saturday in the summer if figured my chances of getting it fixed or replaced today were slim and none. I looked online to see if we could take care of it ourselves but since it was a Stanley and over 35 years old it seemed a better bet to just bite the bullet and replace it. I called a nearby company I saw on Angie's list that was supposedly open until 1 PM but had to leave a voicemail. I also emailed them but didn't get any response. Time was ticking so I decided to try R & M Recklau when I saw that their reviews were all "A"s. Mr. Recklau answered the phone, so far so good, and I explained the situation. He agreed that any fix for the current device would only be a temporary one so I asked if he could possibly put in a brand new one TODAY. He said sure and that he'd be here in half an hour. He came right out and went straight to work. He was very professional and easy to deal with. In practically no time we now have a brand new device with a kepad and two remotes. I am beyond pleased I'm thrilled. I have to mention that the heat index here today is over 100 degrees so the conditions he worked under were not ideal but he never once commented or complained. I will certainly recommend Mr. Recklau to family, friends and neighbors and will undoubtedly use him again if we ever have the need.

I made the mistake of replacing batteries in my remote and attempted to use it (while outside of garage) before re-programming the remote. I was locked out of my garage with no key (new owner of home), keyless entry failed, and remote wasn't working. I called 8:30 this evening (Thursday). He answered. I explained the problem. He was here 10-minutes later. He replaced the lock (I now have a key), he re-programmed my remote. I am now good to go. He was great. I will definitely reach out to him when it's time to replace the garage opener.

He was very nice and very professional. He had quoted me a price when I first called thinking he knew what was broken, but since it was a minor job (but not to me!!) he lowered the quote. He came the same day I called after I had tried to reach several other repairmen on Angie's List that were not working because of the holiday, which I really appreciated. I will recommend him to all my neighbors.

He called back within an appropriate amount of time. He was very prompt and when I explained what the issue was, he was out to my home on the same day. He actually had just finished another job and immediately came to me. He fixed the garage door so that we could close it again. Within a couple of weeks it broke again. I called him and we both laughed about it because I knew it was a different problem and he was very relieved. Again he came right out and repaired it. He gave me a new type of rollers that would not pop off of the railing. In the meantime, I replaced the motor on my garage door. I thought that would do it but now unfortunately something has gone wrong with the door opener. He is very personable. He was the kind of person who made me feel like my garage door was the only one in the world that broke. I felt like he really cared.

He is no baloney - reasonably-priced excellent workmanship.

It went very well. Rich Recklu was very nice and easy to deal with. We called him on a Monday, and he came out the next day to do the work. Also, his price was very fair.

Replaced automatic garage door.

I spoke with Rich from R and M Garage Doors on Saturday 9/28 to set up an appointment for an estimate. He came out Monday 9/30 to give me an estimate. Rich was very professional and explained in full detail the differences between the types and brands of the garage doors which was extremely helpful and made the selection process a bit easier. We set up the installation for Thursday, October 4th. Rich is very precise and detailed with his work. He said the most important thing was making sure that I was pleased with the work. He did a really great job and everything looks great. I received many compliments from my neighbors. I would recommend R and M to anyone who is looking for a garage door.

Rich does the work himself, with a family member. He was prompt and professional, and the lowest cost for the quality I needed. He gave me an estimate on thursday, I called him on Friday, and he did the work on monday. Rich does not take a penny until AFTER the work is done AND you are satisfied, rich took extra effort to ensure a proper seal aroudn the door. Additionally he put concrete at the bottom wehre there were gaps to fill them in. No other contractor agreed to do this. Other contractors wanted an advanced deposti were more costly and needed four to six weeks adnavced notice to do the same work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Called to replace a broken spring. He came the same day and fixed it promptly.

Trouble-free

We called first thing in the morning and he came out within an hour. His knowledge and expertise in diagnosing and repairing garage doors is excellent. We definitely recommend him.

I called Rand M Recklau at the recommendation of a neighbor and Rich was very responsive and accommodating to work on my garage doors. Rich came out on the weekend on short notice and was extremely thorough in working on both our problematic garage door as well as recommending areas we might want to address with our working garage door. He was wonderful with explaining everything that he was doing and recommending so that I could understand without any knowledge of garage doors and garage door openers.

Mr. Recklau came from the recommendation of my sister. He is the first person I used since being a member of Angie's list that I didn't look on the list first. I liked how he responded to my email the next day and we set up the appointment. He was honest and straight forward about what needed to be done. He didn't require a downpayment. He would collect all money when the job was completed. I asked him when he could start and he said he comes prepared and could start the same day. I noted to him that it was kind of late in the afternoon but he ensured me that he had done many garage doors and it would take about three hours. The time went by very quickly. I liked how he made sure everything was in working order and that I knew how everything worked. In fact, he explained everything in detail. He also installed the openers before my electrician was scheduled to arrive and said he would plug the one garage opener in by an extension chord until the correct ceiling outlet was put in. By suggesting this I didn't have to wait to use the opener. I was trilled to finally not have to get out of my car. I am very happy my sister told me to call Mr. Recklau. He is also available 24 hours for emergencies.

EXCELLENT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. FIXED DOOR TO USE WHILE A NEW ONE WAS ON ORDER. FAMILIAR WITH OUR ASSOCIATION REGULATIONS AND DOUBLE CHECKED WITH PREVIOUS RECORDS. VERY FRIENDLY AND I FELT SAFE THE ENTIRE TIME HE WAS HERE.
