"Dear Stefanie-- After giving you an estimate, I came out to install a vanity, reseal a toilet, and install a new tub and shower faucet. On Friday, I showed you the work when it was completed and you were happy. On Sunday, you texted me in the morning that there was a faucet leak. I expressed to you that I have an idea of what the issue is. This is not the first time a plastic pop up drain has leaked. This can happen because the bottom of the sink may have imperfections, so you have to put pipe dope/sealant around the bottom if this is the case. I offered to come back out on Tuesday and rectify the problem. You said you were now concerned about all of the work that I did and you wanted to get a second opinion from another plumber. Which I said was fine but I would still like to come out on Tuesday to take a look. Which you agreed to. When I came back out on Tuesday to your home, you told me you paid another plumber to fix the leak. It was the issue I thought it was. You then threatened to take me to small claims court and also in your words "I am going to go on every review site and destroy your business." I have been in business for over 35 years. I have had hundreds of customers, male and female, and not once has anyone told me my size, voice, or the way I walk up and down stairs has made them uncomfortable. The reason I have been fortunate enough to build a successful business all these years is because I value customer satisfaction and take great pride in the quality of my work. I have been a trusted member of Home Advisor since 2002. I have 200 reviews and this is the 1st negative review I have received where someone has attacked my character. Never once have I had my integrity and character questioned or had an employee's character and integrity questioned - which compelled me to respond to this review. I apologize if in any way I somehow made you feel uncomfortable. I do have a daughter, which you referenced in your comments. I would hope she is treated with the utmost respect and dignity from any fellow male or female counterpart as I give all of my customers whether male or female. Sincerely, Lee Rothman"
